hey guys. so like the title says, i got a new vehicle! i had a smallblock 355 s10 for about 6 months that i really had fun with. but, my problem is i run through cars and trucks like their air. so, i got bored of the s10 and traded it for a 1983 chevy K5 Blazer. this thing is cool. its got a cool little paint job on it that looks like tears in the side and are painted white, red and black. its got a pretty nice hard top, new headliner, new leather front seats, replacement cloth back seat, new leather interior side panels, a new black dash with cleaned up gauges, its got barely any rust on the thing and the body is straight as hell. the old man who had it wanted it to run better so he put together a 355 smallblock chevy with a mild cam, long tube headers(with full 3" flowmaster exhaust complete with welded in cutouts right next to the headers), a holley 650 sittin on a weiand intake. ALL new bottom end with new pistons, rods and crank. all new bearings, all new seals, its got a turbo350 tranny, np208 transfer case, and i forgot the rearend cuz i believe he said he robbed the whole back axle out of another newer k5. i know it has very high 3.07 gears though. i came with 31" bfgoodrich tires, but he included a pretty new set of 35's for muddin and ****. overall the truck is in great shape. just a couple of things i need to figure out like the power windows arent workin anymore, and i dont have a key for the tailgate and the latch on the inside isnt workin anymore. so i gotta find a replacement for that i suppose. ill try to get some pics up pretty soon.

I had an old 77 K5, that was my favorite vehicle ever!! No radio, rear wheel wells rotted out, had to replace the floor under the driver seat. She had a .030" over 400 small block and ran like a raped ape...never got stuck in the mud or on the sand dunes..good times.

yup i know what you mean. this 355 in mine runs damn good. for just bein a smallblock, it sounds badass and it moves out fairly decent. i just got out today and did a bunch of work to it. i replaced the electric choke which he gave me in the trade. runs good now. i took all the wheels off and inspected the brakes. its got front discs in good shape and rear drums that werent so much in good shape. so i swapped out the drums in the back for new ones and changed the wheel cylinders on both sides. bled all four corners and now she stops great. i rewired the back window and tailgate so now the window goes up and down and the tailgate opens no problem. its gettin along pretty good.

well, i just got myself a new holley 650 carb because the old one was a 750 and i always thought that was a bit too much fuel for a mild 355 so i swapped them out. runs better now and now ive got an electric choke so that helps when first startin. im gonna be goin out to a buddies land here in the next couple weeks. he has a bunch of older tires and im thinkin im gonna slap on some 33x12.50's and go play in the mud and run over ****! if i do go ill try to get a vid and maybe some pics.
