I want to open my own race track to race against, REAL COP CARS! straight from the city, onto a specially designed track. run what you bring, and outrun the 5-0!

I live in Arizona. Cops dont do that out here. Me and the guy at the AAMCO transmission shop discussed it and he said he totally would.

I've seen that a few times. Police Stations have Drag teams and take old Cop cars and run em or turn them into to drag cars and leave the lights and paint scheme.

Seems fun, but im talking like a course, like you would do to evade them, who evades cops by driving in a 1/4mile straight?! lol what are you supposed to do, stop and be like, I beat you, you cant arrest me. im talking like all out, balls to the wall, get away from real cops, driving real cop cars. BUT! LEGALLY!!

    hit lotto latey did you?

the lawyers & insurance companies will eat you alive. and no police brass in the world will let currently employeed cops do this, with taxpayer owned cars. Besides, most police cars are slow as dirt ( the average Crown Vic, 4.6l, 2v motor, with 300 pounds of gear in the trunk ). They don't catch runners cause their cars are better ( although for liability reasons, the brakes and tires are kept real fresh ). They have neat things like radios, spike strips, sometimes shotguns & FLIR equiped helicopters, and lots of other caffiene fueled donut muchers to help.

but I must say, it sounds like fun. Lots 'o fun. Obscene amounts of fun. Damn near orgasmic! Didn't Jessey James do something like this recently?

Think you'd have to provide the cop cars and cops and run it similiar to autocross track days. Problem with chasing someone in a 4000lb police cruiser is speed and differences in stopping distance and potential for ubersmash.

On a side note never had a cop chase me....but there was this dick that rode my ass with his brights on in a late 80s crown vic, didnt take the opportunity to pass(slowed to like 20mph on 55mph back highway).

I flipped him off turned the rear view mirror down and stepped into the gas. he followed me on a windy highway between 90-100 on the straights and 75mph through 45mph turns(was driving 91 olds Regency elite...3400lb empty w/ the granny suspension) for about 6 miles then poof wasnt behind me anymore, always assumed he ate it in the ditch...didnt care to go back and look.....was the time of night when deer(big iowa white tail) come out to play as well.

Gotta say there was adrenaline and fear in that and id love to do it again in a more controlled environment

actually i've heard of this. Here in KC even. At the Kansas Speedway they have cops come out and you can race them on the track. Its supposed to help build a bond and some respect between citizens and policemen. Payments would be good for a charity, possibly a charity to help wounded officers.

yeah thats what I was thinking. possibly for all types of cancer research (for obvious reasons) or to bring phoenix out of its multi million dollar debt..... either way im sure the city would back me on it in any hopes of creating new jobs and getting some new revenue to help out the town........

but i just want to build my car and smoke them so they start modifying their cars again because right now phoenix cops run stock motors....
