i just wanted to say that i appreciate everybodys advise and encouragement thanks again guys / ladies.
Also. The most upsetting thing about this. Is that you have to put your helping hands on hold as far as the ricer project goes! haha What will they do without Joe.
on another note, As far as your rents helping you buy the motor. When I was 18 I blew the engine in my grand prix gt(n/a) and my rents did the same haha. Cause I was a budget student trying to survive. I've since paid them back plus some but it's definitely good to have the help when you need it. Go give your dad a hug. hahaha
haha yeah i will once we locate a block ha dont worry he will get the hug lol yeah bwolf man ill still help with the rice project your just gonna have to pick me up... lol but yeah i think once we get the short block the rest will be a walk in the park and when we turn the engine over for the first time it will be like overhaulin or pimp my ride that feeling like yes! she is alive and awoken from her slumber muuuuuuhahaha lol
ya, my car was off the road for amonth while I found the new engine. My brother and I did the swap in his garage one saturday afternoon. Would have had it done by in one day but he came into a complication or two while I was at work and had no one to help him out. He's a tank... but he can only do so much haha.
just remember if u do an L36/26 block you need those breathing mods, or you'll get knock and pop a piston, then be in the same delema you have now. I would get a scanner to keep an eye on KR.
minimum breathing mods you'll need
-plog
-3" dp
-intake (which i think u already have)
-a less aggressive tune, so it runs safely
-scanner
you can run an l36 block with no blower belt and the car wont be a total slouch. that way you wont blow it up while youre saving up for some flow mods.
^that works, alot of guys have done that too.
its just that with our low compression on the l67 block the car is mega slow without the boost.
whatever we find first thats decent without a ton of miles on it we will probably go with
