went to panama city with the girlfriend. pitched a tent in the pouring rain and pitch black darkness. other then that it was great. chilled on the beach everyday and watched the fireworks through the waffle house window lol

lol so u guys ready for the worst 4th?
alright sooo after a hard laborious day of fighting for you guy's freedom and a nap until 2pm :p , we got some hot dogs and hamburgers from the DFAC and had this homemade grille that was welded outta scrap metal, one of our cooks whipped it up for us. and after a ridiculious amount of 0.5% Non-Alcoholic Coors, we had to get the convoy together for a mission at midnight to bring those line units food, water etc....
lol we tried, made the best of things. :)
Hey man don't let it bother you...you guys get THE BEST fireworks out there for sure...sorry, that is just my way of how to think of a bomb as a positive thing :p THANKS for serving though...I wanted to but I can't because of my bad eye sight and knees that crap out every half mile because I broke both my knee caps when I was 13...that blew.
yeah i've had a few late nites outside for a smoke and see the sky light up with a loud rumble. but last time it lit up ( about 2 weeks ago ) the 4 guys from 1st and 120th was killed ( all from wilmington, NC )... we thought it was awesome til an hour later when our internet was shutdown and brief'ed on the explosion and what had happend.Quote:

I thought it was a nice thing they was trying to do for the 4th. not much you can do to celebrate here. I turned 21 here and I had a few near beers, that was it. it was maybe 30 people that ate, only about 15 hung out ( pretty much my Platoon ). all you can do it try, we was hoping we'd get 2 REAL beers but didn't happen, o well atleast we had our non-alcoholic :th_biggrin2: :th_peaceout:
