Anyone got any good pictures of GXP mufflers? Anyone know the inlet/outlet sizes? Wonder if they flow good for a stockk muffler. Just curious...

One of the guys in the St. Louis Club had the Magnaflow mufflers installed on his GXP. If memory servers, they were 2.5" inlets and outlets. He got the Mufflers direct from Magnaflow and then had to have them custom fitted to work with the GXP as he used the factory exhaust piping. The camera did not allow for the best sound in the world, but you get an idea how they do sound. And believe me, they sounded AWESOME!!

Here is the video I took of them back in Oct of 07. Enjoy.

I know since he had them installed, he has insulated around them with Dynomat to keep the noise in the cabin low. I know speaking from experience, Magnaflows can get pretty loud inside the cabin. Even with a resonator installed.

I agree with James. The GMPP comes with Magnaflows. My resonator went bad and now there isn't one. I hate the sound and the level inside, and would get different mufflers, but on a V6, I've not heard any that were different enough to fork out the $$$ for.

I dont know Lee, grant Jessie's is the GXP (v8), and with those mufflers on it, it sounded rather badarse. My SLP kit didnt come with a resonator and I am not sure what knockoff brand of mufflers they use, but you have driven in my car to know how it sounds at cruising speed and at WOT. It stays relatively quiet I think as compared to my old GT with the Magnaflows and Resonator in it.

Ya the V8 sounds nothing like a V6. Your car is a lot quieter than mine, and I like it for that. Outside it still sounds like crap and mine sounds like CRAP.

I dont know about that Lee, your's sounds pretty damn good with that Cam in it. I know when we were going over to Alhambra or wherever in IL that one day we installed my 1.9's and you were hitting WOT and I had my window down. I just loved how your car sounded.

So don't go sellin yourself short

I guess after having a V8's when I was younger, all V6's sound farty to me. You know the way the 3800 people complain about the 4 bangers, this is how I feel about both. Maybe a qualifier like Sounds good for a V6, would be appropriate.

Thank you for the compliment btw. At hiway speed, other than sound level, there probably isn't much difference between our exhaust. If you like mine, you'd love yours.

Naw the Cam makes nice "rumble" even at WOT. My rockers don't do anything to "enhance" the sound quality like a cam does

Maybe when I get headers............it might sound a tad bit better???
