Hey I ordered some black housing headlights with clear corners the other day, now I'm trying to decide on which Xenon bulbs to buy, since i would like some brighter headlights. I was thinking of going with this one 7000k color temperature package, but I'm afraid the light will be too bluish.. since i'm not a fan of blue light, I want it to be bright white, slight blue tint would be fine. There is also a 5900k package I found on ebay, but i don't know how different that would be, and it looks like it has Jap writing all over the package, So idk. What does everyone think a good color temp is? would 7000k be too much?

I would love to do 5 or 6k but cant seem to find them. However, I did find 5900K bulbs on ebay that I want to buy; They are made by Hipro Power or something: but i'm not sure if should because the wattage draw on them is higher than the 7K's. The wattage on them is 80/100W.. Do you think that is too much? like is that fine to use without screwing around with wiring? Does anyone know what stock wattage draw is? That is my only concern other than the Japanese writing on the box hahaha. Any help is very much appreciated

i thiought that hid bulbs drew around 35 watts? you want to run new wiring for hids regardless, the factory wiring is too small.

as for bulbs, where did you look? this guy has them in all ranges, including 5 and 6k, both for 25/shipped. just specify which one you want, and they are 9007 sockets

I was looking on ebay. And i'm not gonna do the HID conversion kits or anything like that, because i don't want the hassel of having to change the wiring and worry about stuff like that. I just wanted brighter headlights, so I was going to buy the Xenon halogen HID "lookalike" replacement bulbs, that is what i've been looking at and finding only 5900K, 7k, and 8500k for those bulbs. But the 5900k being the closest color temp that I want, draws the most wattage. Do you know what the stock wattage is? Actual HID kit bulbs may very well run around 35 watts, I don't know.

Stock wattage for 9007 is 55W for low beams, 65W for high beams.

If you want the most light output possible, then you absolutely do not want the blue tinted "HID lookalike" bulbs. The blue tint blocks some of the light, reducing the output.

The brightest you can get without going HID is the Philips XTreme Power +80. They're noticeably whiter than standard halogen bulbs, but they won't be as white as HID's.

If you want true HID white color and good output, the only way to get it is with HID's.

Here's some information on tinted bulbs:
