You can avoid paypal fees by clicking the personal tab (not purchase) and select gift. NO fees.
Thank me later. Maybe it's not new to you. But it is to me.

You lose your ability to challenge a transaction, though.
When you log into paypal and click send money. You know where you click like goods and services? Well there is actually another tab that says personal. If you click that it will have a couple different options and one of them is gift.
IF you select gift then you will not be charged a fee.
But what if you use a REAL Mastercard or Visa in the transaction? Meaning select it as a Gift, but use account that has a real credit to it, not your Debit/credit thing? I know a lot of folks use those in Ebay to help guard against potential disputes cause if PayPal failed to fight for their money, you could supposidly fallback on the Credit Card's protection plan again theft etc?
Just a thought/question.
You can do that. I typically only use PayPal with my credit card, and it has saved me once. However, the credit card company will investigate it, and if the other party is convincing enough about it being a gift, you are still screwed. It is up to you to take the rest over what is typically only a few dollars.
