'97 Z24. paid exactly $0.00 for it. motor is blown, threw a rod. going to throw one in, and use it as my DD this summer. its got pw windows/locks/mirrors, sunroof, a/c, ABS, ETS, CD player, remote keyless entry/alarm, spoiler, front fogs, and alloy wheels. i believe its all just the Z24 package, but w/e.

i refitted the bra, it looks good when its on straight. i've also got rid of the dent in the right rear 1/4 and buffed out all the paint/smudging.

you can see the huge pile of oil under the car, and running out from in front of the passenger wheel.

this engine only has 60k miles!?!?!??!? srsly, .. haha thats why you dont over tighten an oil drain plug

so what do you guys think? not bad for the gas i spent to tow it home huh?

it would be one mean beast if you ditched the 2.4 for the 2.3 and turboed it

^^honestly, ive been thinking about it. i wish i could find a HO 2.3... but i can get a complete '88 Cavi w/ a 2.3 for $400. the body is trashed, but its got a good motor. i wish i could get a HO and S/C it. but thats a bit out of my budget haha

oh yeah, and. this use to be my niece's car, thats why its got the bra and lei haha. my brother just called me up out of nowhere and was like "hey you remember that blue Z24 infront of my house? well the motor blew, you want it?.. its yours!" lol

new cavaliers....suck. my lady has a 4 cylinder 2001 and the oil filter is SO hard to change. easiest way is to take the passenger wheel off. LAME.

id love one of these with an l67:

^^ its a 2.2 huh? yeah, i only took the car, because its got a 2.4 Twin Cam. the oil filter is in basically the exact same spot as on the LHO.

if you really want one, my friend has an '88 Z24 convertible, with a 2.8. he said it runs great, body is in great shape, as is the interior, but the top is pretty rough. said he would sell it for $600. same dude with the '01 Special Edition GP

minus that you have to spill oil all over everything since the morons that designed the car put it facing the wrong damn direction. its called an elbow, dammit.

too bad the 2.4 has terrible low end... thats why an m62 would be suited nicely on the 2.3 HO b/c once that motor hits 3000 rpm its a bat outta hell
