I dont really want my GTP anymore haha my attention is stolen away by fox body mustangs! they have so much balls with very little mods its impressive and if u add a S/C you will be 9 to 12 seconds easily! so idk what my plans are i need a job badly and i think if i get a job soon and it makes me pretty decent money im going to get rid of the GTP and look for a 85 86 mustang or a 84 to 92 notchback 5.0 GT i like them alot its just what was always around me theyre sooo mean and sound soo amazing! dont get my wrong the firehawk will always be my favorite car ha. but im lossing faith in my GTP its at 133K i think i should get rid of it soon and true to find a lower miled fox body what do you guys think? my dads buddy has a 86 convertible 5.0 and this car will get you hard excuse my english haha he got the car for 3 grand 5 years ago only invested 3 grand into it so 6 grand total and he can run high 10 to low 11's all day. its nuts! so im not to sure what im going to do... i love my gtp alot though im just sorta rocky currently. im wondering about insureance on a mustang though?? i want a 84 to 92 fox bod think they will murder me for insurance?

I was a passenger in his STi... and he started revving and looked at us....it looked like junk... whether or not he could beat us its like.. your $2000 POS is still not gonna impress someone in an STi... especially if he wants to take it offroad or on a course

Really, that easy huh? I think you need to do more homework. a 10-11 sec car "easily" is easier said than done with any platforum

Really? I'm sure there is more done to that than a few bolt ons if thats true and if he's not feeding you a line of ****. Takes more than 6k to make a high 10 sec car, not to mention a realible 10 sec car. All I can say is you have a lot to learn about cars kid, good luck to you. If you mod cheap and halfassed you're car won't run half the time and you'll be one of those cool guys walking to places rather than driving bragging about you're broke ass car in front of you're parents house.

And no this is not a Stang bash, I like em myself and passed up a hell of a deal on a fox body a bit ago. But for those of us that have been around or know of people who actully built up a car, its takes a lot more than a few grand to get the times this kid wants.

Hopefully your parents put some sense in your head, if not i'll try. Get a job, save you're money, go to school, get a good job, and worry about having 10 sec cars when you actully have the money on hand to spend the money needed. Call me an asshole, but i'm just speaking the truth. You may hate me now, but you'll thank me later a few years down the road when you actully have a working car and money in you're pocket. But were talking about a car a bit more than 3k too. Even that car will need a few upgrades to be realible. I was looking into getting an Auto C5 myself, with a kid on the way, plans have changes a bit for me. I'll have one someday, just not next year like planned.

Besides a stock C6 ZO6 will run High 11s stock w/ there LS7, and be a good realible DD, it will cost you though

eww @ fox bodies. Any car will cost you out the arse when you mod it. Car's become less reliable when modding them, i don't care what car it is. You really have to have cash to do it. Me, well i spend my money poorly and never learn. I will end up broke one day, oh wait, I am broke.

Honestly, you have a great car, and from what I take it you can't make any choices on your own because at first you say my GTP is awesome, then you say...getting a Fox Body...someone says don't be gay stick GM & T/A's are sweet...you turn your head and say Imma get a Trans Am. GTP's are great cars, cheap to mod, easy on gas, easy on insurance, repairs are simple enough for the most part and you have a great group of people here willing to help you out. And x2 on Shawn...way to go you hard ass...ever thought of a counselor as a second career path? That was a joke, don't do it the US suicide rate will skyrocket LMAO!! He is right though...I've learned the hard way so far...with sitting on U.E., $280 a week is barely keeping my bills paid. Get to school and find a job and if you ever have the extra cash get a beater and store the GTP or sell it for something else you want and you can work on while you have the beater to still get around in.

Sit down, think about it...really go through all of your options before jumping into something. That is how I ended up here. so lets get this straight here, you have a 99, you want to get rid of it for something thats over 20 years old, probably beat the piss out of and uses 80's technology. you have no job and youre worried about insurance. now the car you saw runs 10's on a stock suspension? not happening,with only 3 grand into it? what did he find a 347 already swapped into it with the paxton already on it? ok so you buy this 20 year old car and you have no job to keep it going when it dies, or something breaks, you need to realize that cars arent everything, i dunno if youre handy, learn a trade, get a degree, do something STS tire and auto center isnt going to secure you a pension or a career for the next 25 years, put in for city jobs. keep the gtp stop putting money into it unless it needs it.

Dont get a 20 year old car and start modding it, you got alot of homework to do on modding vehicles. That fox body will more then likely need the engine torn out and gone thru, the tranny checked well as well as the ring and pinions and axles not to mention bearing and suspension.
