I haven’t checked the car out yet, but ran across this ad and was curious on what everyone thinks of it whether it is worth buying and fixing it up and having as a DD. The seller’s located about 2.5 hours away. I sent the seller an e-mail if it is still for sale. I owned a 99 Z24 auto a bit ago, but wasn’t into cars then. I know some now but wanted to know what you all think and what to look for under the hood and car of this J-body. Thanks in advance.

If its your DD and probably a winter car, convertible FTL...

Not sure on what to look for since I don't know my cavvy's, a lot of friends drive them for dd though.

you cant find much under 1K anymore. depending on what the brakes need, probably a few hundo there. the ground issue with the tail lights is the worst... it could be a pain to track that down and fix it. the lock thing sounds like the switch.

the fan settings are likely the result of a bad resistor pack on the blower. window, who knows

if you're handy enough, perhaps not bad deal.

you could probably part it out and make some money really, engine and trans alone can get $300 each easy

^true, but i also wouldnt mind having a gas-saver car while i keep the mileage lower on the GTP. also if i cna fix the small stuff on the cavy i can resell it at a higher amount and make some bucks off of it too.
