    This morning, between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m., my fuel pump passed away.

    She was aged a little over 183K miles. She was preceded in death by a coupler, snout, windshield, power steering pump, rack, several tires, and a window switch.

    She will be looked after by all of your engines, trannies, pulleys, alternators, and superchargers in car part heaven.

    May she rest in peace.

    In lieu of flowers, you may send monetary donations, ninja dolls, wine, and chocolate chip cookies directly to me. Or smileys. I collect those, too.

    I could list my mods, but Sideways has an ungodly list. I dare not try to compete.

    perhaps was the stress of strangers parking in her car's driveway.

    It's a possibility. I hate to speculate on such a thing.

    It was me, I told it that as far as pumps goes it sucked. It began to sputter at that point and I guess the opinion was just too much for it.

    <begin Taps>
    may she be ushered in by all pumps that have gone before with snouts and leaky fuel rails waiting mournfully by.
    Coper wire to coper wire, metal to metal so it shall return (for equal or lesser core fees).

    </end taps>

    LOL!

    You guys made it all better. I thought I had a hernia from forking over the cash for the new one. But...funny how a nice glass of wine and reading this makes me laugh.

    Just remember, if you have and stuck on nuts of bolts, Use a nice hot torch. It makes for an exciting evening ending in a fun ambulance ride and a new car.
