Yea i want to do the same thing. I asked zzp if they would give me a discount if i sent mine and the one from my '97 in and they said no it will just count as a core. Soo im thinking yes it will work. But just write to zzp and ask them. I just took the pcm out of my 97 gtp today soo if we can ill just send that one in just in case if something goes wront i can just put back in my original pcm.
I bought a used one from a camaro for $25 since my pcm was toast and I needed one for driving, and they sent me 3, still have 2 floating around here
I highly recommend keeping your stock PCM. Anyway you can send in a 98-03GP PCM for a core. The 97's are different as are the 04+
ok ill do that so hopefully i can try to get one anyone have one they will seperate cheap.
**** really, cause i have one from a '97. Well i wrote to zzp asking them soo im waiting for a reply.
if you go to intense's web site...it lists 98-03, and 97. just sent in my 97.
97's are different. Although I've not seen one, I hear they have removable modules that you keep when swappping PCM's, which help prevent the need for a CASE learn.
that is correct
Ok i got my message back from zzp. He said it's fine. So im gonna send in my pcm out of my '97 and keep my original for a just in case situation.
always nice to have a known good pcm when issues arise
thats right.
ftw, You nvr know what might go wrong soo it would be nice to have my original pcm.
