Im not sure what you were asking by 'To just earn some extra cash', but with regards to whether or not I would recommend it, I would most definitely recommend it. The reason for this is that the guy uses a lot of common sense with his handling of finances. The most fabulous part of it for you I imagine would be doing the budgeting and then how to track an allocate your savings.
He doesnt look at savings as just an account and with a certain amount of cash in it. After you get the first emergency account funded and then the second emergency account that has 3 - 6 months of living expenses, then you have another savings account that has each dollar allocated to something. Whether it be purely savings (the first two accounts are not to be touched except in emergencies, the first emergency account for sudden expenses like car repairs or something, the second emergency account is for disruptions in income such as a job loss), or money going to some big ticket purchase like a turbo :th_winking: or furniture or something like that.
So if in that third acount, you have say $2000.00, 1250.00 of it may be purely savings, whereas you may have the other 750.00 saved for something like new tires, a new TV or something like that. The point being is that each and every dollar is earmarked in some way and has a purpose.
So in that regards, for someone such as yourself that has no debt then his program would be perfect in learning how to do all that. His point being is to plan ahead for all the purchases you can whether small or large and for those that are unexpected then the first emergency account comes into play. Now he says to start out with $1000.00 there, but theres nothing to say you can add more, say for enough to cover a major car repair like a transmission or something. The important part is that that money is not to be touched excepted for such situations.

No, the course itself is not free. You can buy some of his books I think but the course is well worth the price. He has two courses listed on his site. There is the Lifetime Family Membership and the Home Study Kit.
The church offered the Home Study Kit, we got a discount on the total cost and then the church gave a couple of those away at half that cost. But now, having started the course, I would have paid full price for it. Its that educational and informative. I was on my way to being out of debt before I knew about his courses or before the church offered them but he has shown me how to structure my finances, and to budget much more effectively and how to direct money to where it needs to be and so on. Worth every dollar we spent to take the course and more.
