Crazy to see how cheap headers are for these cars now. Back in 2015 when I had mine I thought getting SpeedDaddy headers for $260 (I think?) brand new was an absolute steal. Now they're on eBay for well under $200. Whether they'd need to be modified to fit or not, seems way better than it was 6 years ago

I had to look myself lol. Yes I saw there are some sets going $160-170 with free shipping. I don't know how the quality compares to the older ones, but I guess the lower demand may be a factor. Also you can get a pair of projector headlights under $200 now

Speed daddy's weren't great. But, these new ones are even worse. The crossover most of the time, isn't bent correctly. It usually needs to be cut and welded to it matches up to the rear.

Even with the modification that's needed, seems like an easy and cheap upgrade to let the motor breathe better and get rid of that stupid u-pipe

If you can fab yourself, sure. You'll probably be into them for $300 total. If not, I saw someone recently had a shop put them on for him, and the bill was close to $1k.

Btw, there is actually no proof that headers help these cars in any way. Turbo guys make 600hp on stock manifolds.

Interesting, I remember everyone was anti u-pipe cause it was a huge restriction. How times have changed I guess lol

The ubend is still not a restriction. IIRC, it still has a diameter of close to 2". The smallest part of the system is actually the exhaust valve opening. All the other parts are much bigger and are still only servicing one exhaust pulse at a time.
