wrong section to post but, absolutely not. Get an Overkill or an Intense pcm.
it took me long enough to figure out how to put this thing on here lol but what are the web sites to get the intense one?
just a question... why do you guys call it a pcm????
is it programed control unit maybe??
everyone i know just calls it a chipped ecu...
because thats what it is power control module
OHHH lol i see...
now do you know where to find me a pcm for a C25A OBD-0??? lol
ok cool thanks, do you have one of these in your car?
yeah I went with overkill on my gt, going to be doing a custom tune tho soon due to bigger mods on the way.
cool, also are thes pcms bad for the car?
I would not suggest ZZP. I have one on my 04 and I just order Wills pcm about 3 days ago. ZZP may have some good products but in my oppinion this is not one of them.
no not at all, just as long as you don't get a zzp one lol
Whats the matter with zzp's? I've been more impressed with them over intense's files, there is more attention to details. Overkill also locks his pcms so the tune is worthless after you get a tuner.
There needs to be more facts or evidence before you start bashing companies like zzp.
ZZP has had a few pcms go bad, but for their excellent customer support and service you can't just say they are all bad, whatever happens they know how to make it right. I've heard of people that have had great experiences with overkill, but I've also heard of some bad experiences. Such as it takes a while to get a pcm from him for shipping reasons from canada and I believe he's a one man operation. Keeping your stock powertrain control module is also expensive. When its all said and done its more cost effective to find someone with a tuner locally or by a tuner yourself.
I see what your saying here but I have to disagree with that statement. Im not bashing zzp here, they know I am one of their better customers there, ive spent thousands on their products, but buying one of their pcm's was not on the list Yes it does take a while to get your pcm from overkill, but when you do get it, it is worth the wait. Street tuning is way better than any pcm, you can do multiple tunes for the variance in temperatures which you cant get with any vendor pcm. The downside to that is you need a laptop which i don't have, and the $500 software which is very $$. IMO dyno tuning is FTW.
bluegtp91 has a perfect example of how "well" zzp does their tunes.
