My builder thinks it was caused by combination of a flaw in the crank and the added pressure on the hub when the alt belt slipped off and got wrapped under the blower belt. He said it cracked along one of the lightening holes drilled into the crank -a known weak spot on Eagle cranks...and the fact that it was a cast crank not forged didn't help either.

Motor is running at 9.2 compression so I can't safely go any lower on the pulley size....unless I decide to add a little meth to it. Besides....that's what the 175 shot of Nos is for!
