Our side lot here at work is where we typically park but we've been having to park elsewhere due to the snow, it rained a little earlier so it helped the snow to melt some and you can see the ground in spots again so I said I'm gonna park over there. Backed in, off the pavement into the grassy section we normally park in. Got ready to get out of the car and said, you know let me make sure I can get out of here first... Nope. The tires are in mud, front of the tire is just at the drop off of the pavement. Can't reverse or forward, the pass. tire is just digging a hole. Damn it. Tried putting the all rubber floor mats down, nope. Any other bright ideas? And if it does need to be pulled out, any good place from the front end to pull it out?

I've driven two cars out of snow the last week that were 'stuck', have some people pushing and rock it back and forth - that's all it takes, momentum.

I've been trying to rock it to no avail. It won't give an inch forward or backwards, that front right tire has dug in and it slips before the left one can do anything.

dig a hole for a jack if need be, jack it up and fill the hole.

sucks theres not much to hook on to drag it out.

jack it up and fill the hole in with some class 5 rock maybe

we threw a tow-rope around the sub-frame, that worked pretty good to pull our's out of the ditch

Put some pieces of wood on the ground.

    or

Drive out, lightly applying the brake to prevent wheel spin.

    or

    or

    Call a buddy with a 4x4.

    or

    Get some snow tires.

that stick tied to the wheel trick wont work on a fwd car, the strap will hit the caliper for sure. and rip the brake line off too maybe. safer on a drum brake, like on the rwd truck in the vid.

I put a receiver hitch on my back end to help with these types of situations. so far haven't had to use, except for it intended purpose of hauling bikes.

Good call. I was hoping he'd try it on the rear, then we could really have a good laugh.

Thanks for your belief in me guys! hahahaha I know better than to hope my non-driven rear wheels are going to get me anywhere. I have a hitch on my GT, but not on my GTP. Yes, I got it out, the rain yesterday coupled with mid 50's degree weather softened up the ice enough to get a little movement to where I could rock it out.
