    yes I am a techie.....

there has to be a way to tie in a blue tooth module to the existing onstar mirror, so that it ties to your phone and not Onstar. Everything is there, except bluetooth, just need to find a way to tie it all together.

    X2

That would be pretty sweet, are there any aftermarket units that could do it?

i'd venture to guess that it will be a fair amount of work-- first, we need the wiring diagram for the onstar buttons.

second, you need a bluetooth kit and have (or figure out) wiring diagram for it. --- the bluetooth kit will probably not be able to be put back together if the hacking doesnt work, so keep that in mind.

but, to that end, i suppose any of the clip-on visor mount bluetooth kits might be a candidate. --- shoot i know the motorola bluetooth speaker thing i have has separate vol up, vol down, and main key... that's 3 buttons right there. so if one could re-wire the 3 onstar buttons, that could work--- but that one doesnt have any mute-out wire for an aftermarket stereo.

CoStar Technologies' BlueSTAR 2010 is supposed to be plug and play.
