So a certain green bastard and I have been having talks about getting back into the wrench game...

Only if there would be a market for it in this community anymore.

We won't travel, but if you came to us, minus building transmissions from scratch, we'd be willing to do basically anything else that you wouldn't want to tackle or want to watch and learn. (including swaps that are generally wire mess free...)

Drinking will be involved; shenanigans will ensue, of course.

We will work for cash only, no strippers. (although if you brought them, we wouldn't complain, I'm sure we can make a teatherball post work).

Thinking along the lines as general projects (LIM gaskets, hubs, other typical GP issues...you know...)

Past that, we'll do performance upgrades...header installs, DHP 1.0 flashed PCM's, rocker installs, cam swaps, you name it...don't be hesitant to ask.

So if anyone would be interested in something along those lines, please feel free to reach out to either Reptile or myself...find us on Facebook...PM here, what have you. It's all gravy. Prices would obviously be discussed and implemented down the line once we get a feeler.

Also - Brian says no cold days. His joints hurt since he's like 29 and old. The end.

    Thanks all.

I put it here just to gauge interest.

If there isn't any we won't really dabble in it.

You gonna have insurance blue? The reason I ask is because sometimes customers wait too long to do LIM gaskets and when they do it, the motors fails shortly after due to customers negligence.

LIM gaskets are kind of a different deal; it's always been agreed upon that if/when it blows...it's not been on us, but on the fact they've had it for "X" amount of time and didn't keep up with repairs.

Knock on wood, that's never happened...only two things that have ever happened in the seven~ years, was a bad wheel hub and my car when we tried to just replace one piston back in 2007.

    Appreciate the words, though.

Hmm, could be useful if I pick up my dads 06 base model when he gets a new lacrosse.

Or any other w body I'll probably end up buying again.

I totally agree with not working in the freezing cold or super hot. That's just ugly work. Hope you guys see a ton of work!

Think it depends on pricing. Lots of guys like myself like doing their own work due to pricing people ask these days. IMO 75-85 an hour is just silly to do car stuff.

I wouldn't expect huge numbers of customers, but the ones you'll get will probably be loyal. I'd iron out some prices, post them up and you'll get a better sense of people's response.

Edit- I don't know you guys personally, but it seems there is nobody around here who builds transmissions who isn't 1000 miles away. Might want to venture into that game too, I hate transmissions.

No transmission builds. Dave at Triple Edge is a close personal friend of mine, and it's his livelihood. I've done several of his installs that he's had shipped to me and I put them in.

I'd recommend Dave a million times over.

How many trans installs has Dave sent over here...like a dozen by now...not including our cars? lol
