I know where Enid is, been there a few times myself with work. You should make the event, more the merrier!

Do it in late April early May, I wouldn't mind going back to Apache for the Rattlesnake Festival. Anyone up for a rattlesnake hunt? Was within 2" of getting bit on the shoulder last time I went. Doesn't that sound like fun? haha

I knew a guy from work that used to go to that every year.

Not my cup a tea as I dont really care for snakes of any kind, but hey, to each his own I guess.

Yeah, normally. That was the problem I had last time I went. I jumped across a small ravine and there was a rock ledge on the other side. Little did I know there was a rattler sitting on that ledge. It rattled and struck all at once and I reacted by turning away from it and ducking down. One of the guys I was with said it missed my shoulder by just a couple inches. We ended up catching it though. The other guy I was with was 7'2" and he had it by the tail with a 3' snake grabber. It started coming up the pole at him so he just started spinning in circles. LOL! Hilarious to see such a big guy spinning a snake over his head like a helicopter. When we got it back to town, it measured just over 5' long. It got fried up for us in exchange for us letting them keep the hide. Tasty!

HAHA! Yeah, and Mystie was due any day with Justice at the time. That would have been really bad. She wasn't with me, but there was no way she could have helped me either. So I guess it was actually late April into May since he was born May 15th that year.

well maybe if you ended up in the hospital they'd let you 2 share a room. or even a 2 for 1 special.

Welcome to Ok. CRAPPY is putting it nicely. You can always tell when you pass the state line(in any direction) because the roads get smooth.

    True dat.

Kansas has some nice roads, cause when we go up to KC, you can tell when were in Missouri. 35 north or south in Oklahoma is just sad. Cross the boarder into Kansas, you can start drinking your drink with out fear of spilling it.

It would be nice to meet up, but I would need PLENTY of notice. Plus only weekends i'm generally off is the first of the month. With my new position its hard as hell to get a day off aside from my one weekend off a month.

Lets have a meet at my house, I have a **** load of mods I need help installing! LOL, worth a shot :-)

Seriously, somewhere like Ponca City sounds good. Although if several Texas guys decide to come maybe OKC would be the place?

I'd be up for anywhere. There's lots of options available, we just have to figure something out that will work best for the most number of people. I suggest getting together a working list of who all would be willing and where they are from, then decide the most reasonable meeting place.
