you can DD any pulley you want as long as you keep it tuned right and have all the correct supporting mods.

however, i feel that my car with a my mods below (headers/rockers/throttle body/3.4) its pretty damn fast for the street. i have zero traction in first gear since i have 3.29s in the gt tranny.

Not to highjack - but does anybody know of any good shops or mechanics in general that do honest, good work at a nice price. Located around the Waukesha or Milwaukee County area.

I'm going to install a new front sway bar, and this summer I need to replace my LIM gasket, coolant elbows, injector o rings, supercharger gasket, rear valve cover gasket, and intake o-rings....

Fun stuff - I know. I need to either
    A) Find a good shop that I can trust has worked on these cars and knows what they are doing... for the right price.
Or B) Find a member on here that has done this stuff before and could pretty much do it while showing me how for the right price....

hint hint.... I'm looking for option B and will pay $15-20 an hour. lol.

Yo I'm from the twin cities, but go to school in Eau Claire. I'm wondering what you guys would suggest doing to my GT? I havent done anything to it yet, but heres what Im thinking: cutout valve, take out U bend and res, air intake, tips, High velocity intake insert. Does anyone have any of these things for a good deal??

cutout valve? if youre talking about an exhaust cutout id highly suggest not doing that. it will be nasty loud and sound like crap. you might get .5 hp out of it. id probably leave the resonator on it too, or replace it with a bigger one (i have a glasspack on mine).

otherwise your list looks alright. on top of that id add modded 1.9:1 rockers, powerlog and ported rear manifold, and a 3" downpipe (this will take care of the u-bend too if you want to save money).

    Thanks for the reply.

My buddy has a cutout w/o res and w/o u-bend and it sounds BA. I'm mainly looking for sound from those things. Why leave res and what exactly is a 3" downpipe and how would it save me money, I dont really know alot about this stuff yet.

a cutout on a v6 is going to sound ugly at all rpms except idle. so do it if you want, but its going to sound nasty.

leave the resonator because it will be raspy without it. a 3" downpipe is bigger than the stock one (connects the manifolds to the catback) and it would save you money because if you buy a bolt in style then youd take care of your u-bend delete at the same time.

no, the exhaust will just get a little more throaty. loudness comes from taking out a cat, resonator, mufflers, or changing any of the above to high flow applications.

oh yeah, steer clear of flowmasters unless you like hating your own car.

yes. that is the most restrictive part of the exhaust outside of the ubend. next is the stock manifolds.
