Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
300 to 350 is where the stock tranny limits are. turbos boost hits like a mule kick, tranny be like pssssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh not the wastegate lol
turbos do seem like lots of fun if you can afford all the supporting mods. or have a spare car to drive when you blow it up lol
Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...

Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
this regal guy should be everyones idol. first he goes e85 and no intercooler then decides to throw away m90 and buy a turbo kit......
i love it.
Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
I didnt used a gen v though. I went right from gen 3 to turbo.
Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
gen 3 and gen5 are both m90.........
Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
I know. Usually people go from gen 3 to gen v and stop there.

Most people go from gen3 to gen5 then drop pulleys and when they max it out they go to a turbo you were smart skilled all the b.s. saved money went straight turbo smartest rout.

I figured someone would have to take everyones advice. Its an incomplete kit but its close to being done. I originally wanted to do a TVS 1320 swap but i found this kit cheaper than the tvs would have cost me.
Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
I went 3.4 pulley to turbo, I bypassed all the nonsense
Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
I waited a bit lol. Im on a 3.0 pulley, XP Cam, e85, etc. I was doing some research on non m90 power adders. I either wanted a TVS style blower or turbo. I found the turbo kit cheaper than what it would cost for the TVS blower alone so im happy lol.
Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
Wastegate and BOV came in today. i also did some polishing.

Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Psssshhhh noises soon...
So i collected some more stuff for the turbo regal. The intercooler set up and wideband are on the way along with an HV3 for the L26 upper. Im also waiting on the oil feed and return lines to show up. Hopefully these spring blockers let me launch a little harder. I still need to buy an LQ4 MAF, Northstar TB, Wiring adapters, Adapter plate, Silicone Vac Lines, Fuel pump, and the TOG style DP to get this kit finished.

Re: 1999 E85 Regal GS Turbo Build
I'm sure people have said it or I've said it before but all 4.8/5.3/6.0 MAF sensors are all the same, so it doesnt just have to come from the Lq4 6.0 ls motor.
Also you could make a plate to cap off the stock maf sensor to save you money from buying wiring adapters for a different throttle body and the tb itself.
