If you look at the manual for the 2004 GTP you will find that is states that you can run regular fuel in it. I owned a 2004 Grand Prix GTP and ran regular fuel in it and it ran fine. If you want performance then yeah run the higher octane. The Series III engine is very nice, I had no issues with it and the gas mileage was very good if you just wanted to drive it like a normal Car. The aftermarket air filter is very good for the engine to breath better, it helped mine a lot. I sold my car as Wife wanted a newer one so mine went down the road.

if you want your engine knocking alllll the time giver, but dont recommend that.

You need a computer man, this whole tapa talk linking crap is pretty annoying.

Just because the manual says you could run 87, doesnt mean you should. And who wants to drive a car that has some power and habe to baby it around all the time because you put 87 octane in it. People that say it's okay to run 87 have no idea how the tuning world works or how dangerous it really is to run a fuel that can't help the motor hanlde boosted applications. And if you are too cheap to spend the extra 5 bucks per fill up, buy a honda.

Alright, well please don't report posts that in fact are not spam or cry victim when there was no reason to.

lols. run your 87 octane and knock like crazy if you wish, these motors knock on 91-93 octane so its gonna knock even more on 87 lol.

why would you buy a performance intake then run the motor on 87 octane?
