Hi, I've been here going on 4 years with the same car, so I figure it's about time to make a ride thread to keep updates on what I've been doing.

Here I am completely stock other then plati-dip wheels, 2014 Detroit meet.

It's come a LONG way in the past year. More to come.

First order of business was headers. I ordered Speed Daddy headers years ago but never but them on because they would void my warranty. Well, after seeing them on so many cars at the meet I had to do it. Young guy at work got to practice welding stainless by removing the goose neck on the SD's. He did quite the fine job.

Installed following the BillBoost method. Worked out very well.

Since I had the car on jack stands in all 4 corners, and some time off work, I decided to do the brakes and full suspension as well. I had a blown rear strut and a bent trailing arm.

A few of us bought close-out FE3 struts from RockAuto. BIG mistake. We all found out that they were FE2 at best, probably FE1. Rode like poop, and the DNA springs were strong enough to keep them fully extended in the rear. Replaced with Vogtlands and GM certified FE3's a couple weeks ago. Much MUCH better.

Calipers, pads, and rotors are all PowerStop brand. Zinc coated rotors didn't make it through the winter without rusting out. And the rear calipers were aluminum and stripped both banjo bolts out at less than 30lb/ft which is the factory specs and what the tag on each caliper warned to only tighten too. Fortunately I'm a machinist, and was able to drill, thread, and helicoil them at work. I still recommend them for the price, looks, and function. If you want to **** around with them for a week...

Note the 27mm wheel spacers... Been 11 months and no problems yet. Buy American.

Had a Wizaired. It does what it claims. Intake temps were never more than a few degrees above ambient. Doesn't matter much for the GTP engine, and it reduced the whine significantly. Sold it at the 2015 meet.

At the 2015 meet, I scored a SPO spoiler already in my color, looks good with my 2 tone SPO grills. Also scored some headlight covers, and some labor from dsmuts to put on said spoiler, and my MPS on.

Today, I power washed my engine bay, because it's never been cleaned... 4 plastic bags over the air filter and fired away. It was pretty successful but still a little dirty, I had no idea my valve covers where that light of color. Next weekend I'll hit it again because the plan is to install my #42.5 injectors, and E85.

Installed 42lb Ford injectors and filled up the empty tank with E85. No tune yet, but cruising around my LTFTs are a heck of a lot closer to 0.0 than they ever were on gas. Maxes out to 16.4 when I lift off the throttle though.

Shhhh....I think I hear a pulley drop E85 is amazing. For me its mostly because I don't have to worry as much about blowing up due to my noobish tune mistakes. Its much more forgiving.

Anybody want to show SnowFlake that is how you fix the gooseneck on the headers?

Pretty sure I had mentioned it in his video thread. Still had to build The Jig but it was like 3 cuts and 2 welds.

Nah. HU isn't in right now because when it gets below freezing it wouldn't accept input from the touchscreen or steering wheel controls until the car warmed up. Minor inconvenience but when I only have a 3 mile drive to work, most days the car wouldn't warm up enough to use the radio. Just haven't gotten around to putting it back in now that it's warm.

Already dropped to a 3.6 that dsmuts did the labor on . Holding off on the 3.4 till I find the vac leak that is causing a +16.4 at idle.

Dealership took off my mirror, replaced it but it took a week because they couldn't get a same color replacement and had to color match one. They did a full interior/exterior/engine detail that look great. Never noticed the whole friggan car had overspray on it till after I hand washed it. Probably their attempt to "blend" it.

Note that this is also the same dealer**** that scratched Mike's (was it Mike?) new Subaru and then repainted it the WRONG COLOR.

Put the rest of the red vacuum lines on today. Had to remove the one on the brake booster right away though because it was feeling pretty soft, like it wanted to collapse and probably would as soon as it warmed up. Found 2 potential vac leak spots at least. The PCV to intake hose was falling apart, and the manifold on top of the supercharger was not bolted down all the way.

Put my polished and clear coated 3.4 pulley on too.

Your GP looks awesome! Love it when a GP rocks both a lip spoiler and garage door lip. Together they make the front bumper look so much btr.
