I always seem to get build up in the front underneath the plastic rocker panel. Installed some generic Napa molded mud flaps on the front which seemed to do the trick. Of course we've only had one mild snow in Nebraska this year to test them. But I think they'll hopefully prevent major build up.
No updates on the car, BUT I finally got this thing on the road. Headlights are ziptied in, self drilling screws holding the license plate straight to the bumper, hood and tailgate are ratchet strapped shut.
Swear to god, I can hear the Beverly Hillbillies theme song every time I get in this thing.

A new front clip, better wheels and tires and 2" lowering shackles in the back and that thing would actually be a pretty cool truck. and could be handy for you.
I've got a new fender and hood, just need a bumper and grille and time to work with it. We added extra leaf springs in the back years ago to help with hauling heavy weight, if I took those out it'd sit like a rational human being's truck... but then I wouldn't be able to tow a heavy trailer with it, lol.

8 days on the road. I think that's a song. Glad you are ok. Wtf happened

Glad to hear you're OK.
Looks like the ratchet strap did it's job keeping the hood on!
How did the zip ties hold up on the headlights?!
Headlights were still held in, lol. Every hick fix I did stayed strong. The truck hydroplaned going around a bend on the interstate, spun around and rammed the rear into a guard rail. Ripped the axle off, spun the truck around, somehow pole-vaulted over the front end (I was looking out the windshield at the road), flipped it, and it came back down on all... twos.
