What springs are you going with?
BTW cancel the order on the anti pogo washers and go get some from the JY for free. They are the from subframe washers on any W-body.
I like this fella, I can defiantly get parts at the JY but would much rather have new.
However I have found my fair share of scores in the JY.
I have that, works well but in my opinion it is going in the wrong direction if considering replacing the radio. Factory Nav is outdated and finicky, and only feature that a good aftermarket will not do better is integrate with the HUD. Be sure it will on yours also as 04 never came with factory Nav so there could be more to it. My Kenwood has Garmin which is far superior to factory Nav, also Bluetooth, DVD and HDMI and back up camera .No regrets at all on my purchase. Weigh all your options carefully.
Not that it matters, but when I first bought my car I couldn't figure out what that thing was on my dash (never owned a fancy car) until I finally researched it. I suppose I would have known instantly if it WORKED!! so that was my very first repair on my car... the HUD
I guess I just don't understand the purchase. It has no Bluetooth, or aux and you may use your phone for GPS anyway. Don't get me wrong, love HUD. Its my favorite feature of the car and possibly ruined me for my next purchase as it seems a necessity now. Just be sure this will integrate with your car a Nav was not an option so it may not be plug and play. Maybe someone who has done the swap on an 04 will chime in. Good luck. Your car has come along way!
Thanks! And the guy I bought it from had it in his 04, it comes with the GPS antenna and the adapter for the steering wheel controls. I am going to have to have it unlocked, though. The reason I went this route was because I'm trying to keep everything as factory-installed appearing as possible. That's why I went with Pontiac wheels when I replaced the originals rather than the 18" aftermarket rims everyone goes for. I even set up my Aeroforce to match my gauge cluster. A stock Nav unit just kind of kept with the theme of apparent-originality, I guess. I know it's dumb, and I probably wouldn't go this route were it any other car, but straying too far from original on what was my grandma's car almost seems sacreligious, if that makes any sense
