Well I had sold my F250 to get a little commuter car and save up for the next couple years since by 2020 I can legally import the car I have wanted since I read about it 1997 (hint it has an rb25 in it but I will be doing an rb30/25 build). In the meantime here is the slow bucket to get me to and from work.

She has a 3.4 pulley that came with the car, I have since made my own intake, which i need to get some more couplers and better clamps and some point to make it look great. ZZP canned tune (I want to get hptuners soon to tweak it and get the car really dialed in) 3in catted downpipe, slp resonator which I did not think was stock so I am doing some research there. I have put on stock coils, 180 tstat, alpine spr69's in the rear and I am looking to replace the fronts here I just want to get a good replacement.

Plans are to find another set of wheels, get new weather stripping (sad that a 74k mile car has bad weatherstripping) new front axles, check the hubs since the abs goes off like crazy over really small bumps and is better when I turn tcs off. Replace the brakes, get new seat motors, get the fake cat and weld it in place of the catalyitc converter and replace the O2 sensor. Cleaner her up a bit and keep driving her. Maybe get some headers eventually. Who knows maybe just leave her alone.

So now she has a nice cyl 4 misfire, I am going to see if i can borrow a camera deal to stick in the spark plug hole and see if the piston is jacked, also going to check on the lim gasket, it looks like the stock gasket.

So far I have bought a new upstream o2 sensor, I cut out the cat that came in the aftermarket downpipe (I think it's a ZZP) and welded in a fake cat (the kind that looks like a cat with a straight through pipe in the middle. I do need new exhaust manifold to down pipe bolts, one is now seized up on there. Always cylinder number 4 that misfires too, I tried changing around Coils too and wires, but nothing works.

Yeah previous owner, I got my mic out and it measured 3.4" and it is a mps, it also has a 3" downpipe to stock exhaust, 180 tstat, and I built a quick and dirty intake for it.

Well I decided to check out the cylinder with my nifty little camera, well the mirror attachment got caught on the way out and is now sitting on piston 4, the plastic attachment holder is in there as well, so time to do intake gasket and head gaskets. I suppose ARP head studs are in order and cometic head gaskets. This does not make me too happy, but oh well.

The issue is it was actually misfiring badly. Something is up with it, also while tearing it apart I noticed that the icm wiring was routed right next to the water pump and looks to have gotten heated up nicely.

Also the claw deal wouldn't work as the one part of the attachment is odd shaped and if you don't grab it just right you won't get it out. The good thing is I get to take a look at stuff and see how the motor is and get some cometic head gaskets and ARP head studs, the also issue I have run into is I apparently did not measure the pulley right the first time and this time I am getting 3.25" on my mic with the belt off and at the center of the pulley.

I will update with pictures in the next couple days as I clean her up and get the parts ordered. I tested the Injectors again and still getting continuity and read 12.3 ohms per injector.

Lots of mismatched bolts, a few standard bolts used to hold on the exhaust manifolds, and now a broken stud in the crossover. Also going to install studs back in the exhaust manifold outlet to down pipe. I might just have to get headers now or buy a 3.4" pulley.. Oh the fun.

clean up the castings in the heads and then polish them up while they are off. get headers. or a plog dp combo.

That is my plan, but we shall see, I was eyeing the TOG headers for sale, they make great stuff, they have since they first started making headers.

I was reading up on the issue with tuning out the rear O2 sensors, I was told with my ZZP 1.0 pcm that the rear O2 was tuned out, I will have to ask if they disabled the catalytic check cycle.

The only thing that is fuzzy is that everyone that had the issue with tuning out the rear O2 were getting the rich condition code, I am only getting misfires, I will be getting a fuel pressure tester to see if the drop in fuel pressure might be the cause, but I highly doubt it since I would be getting multiple cylinder misfires.

Adam, are you in an emissions county in Franklin?

Yeah we are an emissions county sadly, but it is just check for codes and check for something that looks like a catalytic converter, I welded on one of the fake catalytic converter to my downpipe to remove the high flow cat that was on it. I am contemplating buying some headers and doing the same thing.

    Why do you ask?

Here are a few pictures, The wiring from the cam and crank sensor to the icm, it looked pretty bad so I fixed it rewrapped it with good new tape and new wire loom.

Considering relocation to TN, but emissions counties will rule it out.

Gotcha, I came from the great Commi state so emissions here are a breeze, the only two things they care about are if it looks like a cat under there and are there any codes coming up, a tune on any Obd2 or later car can fix that and I use the fake catalytic converters. A few guys here just clamp on a catalytic converter cut in half and hollowed out to their existing pipes and pass.

Side note, does anyone know what the color code is for the silver they use on the lower part of the front and rear bumper?

Well I did some work on her last night, got three pistons cleaned up pretty well, might have to go back over them, but they look much better.

Some goodies arrived on Friday, bummed I forgot to take some pics with the Studs in. Oh well it all looks better and got the blower and valve covers painted, I also ported the blower. I will get pics of the Fuel rail Valve covers and Blower looking all nice.

Well got it closer to being done, I just need to torque down the SC bolts, get ICM rail on, Fuel Rail, TB, and intake, then plug it all back in. Maybe tonight it will be done. I painted the valve covers with grill high temp paint, and the SC and parts of the LIM with high temp Silver. Looks pretty decent maybe need to touch up some areas. I also painted the Fuel rail with high temp grill paint so it should look better once it's done.
