The dip job actually looks good I think. I definitely like it better than the black. Did the springs settle out like you wanted in the rear?

After many years of searching I found a great set of seats out of a 04 comp g.

Wired up the passenger side my way because I didn't want to run a power wire to my fuse box so I improvised.

I sit higher in the car but the seats hug much better in cornering I love that.

Pulled the carpet and gave it a good cleaning. 22 years of crap on it resulted in black water in the shampooer. On the 4th pass the water was gray so I called it good.

I have some photos to share

Looks nice! It's amazing how much stuff gets spilled down the side of the center.console. They should have installed a little drip tray on the side, with a drain that dumps it under the car. Lol

Awesome. Nice cleaning job man. I hope to do the same in the blue car soon.

Replacing the carpet like I did in the maroon car was a mistake. Never again. It's a much better idea to take out the original carpet and wash it.

    Is the passenger seat heated?

Thanks. Yes the passenger seat is heated. My wife is happier now but it gets hot quick and there is only high setting because I'm lazy.

I looked at buying carpet but the factory carpet is so much nicer and the padding is really thick

I did a little more. I grabbed some jy heated seat switches. Low and behold the main bulb were burned in both switches

I had some LED's laying around so I took out the burned bulbs and soldered LED's to the board in the switchs.

By the photos I'm guessing you can tell what one was my original switch and what one has the LED

I just have to finish the dual switch plate I cut and glued. A little filler and paint outa finish it up and I can put this long awaited project to bed

It's been along time since I posted anything about my car.

I bought a AEM meth kit install pending.

I recently acquired some new w-body store lateral bars from a member. I have been waiting for a set to come up for a long time.

I have to say the side by side comparison is no comparison. The w-body store bars are so much beefier then stock.

I did the 1st half today tore it down and adjusted the new bars to match the old.

Gona finish it tomorrow and go for alignment this weekend or early next week

It wasn't so bad taking it apart. Spayed everything yesterday with some penetrating lube

Mmm beefy. Noticeably tighter on turns. Alignment is off 1/4 of an inch from front to back so the next trip is to the alignment shop

I decided to load up the prick this morning and take the family to the beach. About 15 miles into the trip the car just quit.

Pulled it over. Attempted to restart and crank no fire.. verified fuel pressure verified spark. Still no start.

Took about 10 mins to check things out. Kids whining "it's hot daddy". Wife saying "just call triple A". Bust out the triple A card. Think well let me try one more time.

BOOM fires right up like normal. Drove it home no problems. I did find this upon inspection. Smells like SC oil but why is it there. No oil on the SC anywhere

Any and all pointers are welcome

There was some SC oil where the hub and the pulley mate suggesting the plug has leaked the seal looks fine no oil there.

Darn plug won't come out tho.

The pulley has a slight amount of back and forth play. I never broke the SC apart to see if it had the green coupler in there

I'm not sure how high the oil level should be but it reads 1.5 inches on the skewer check

Sucks that the car broke down. . Especially on a beach trip. Doesn’t look like too much oil splatter on that supercharger snout. I don’t know if the problems of the oil and the car dying are related. The car dying, not starting, and then randomly starting again, sounds like a crank shaft sensor. As far as the oil, check to make sure you don’t have a power steering leak. The pump could be leaking, most likely at the pulley/shaft. The fluid is catching on the belt and flinging everywhere. My hood looked just like that when my pump was leaking. And firewall was all pissed on. Also sucks that PS fluid is usually clear and could look like anything after it mixes with dirt.

    Thanks Chi2000gtp for the reply
Defiantly not ps fluid.. SC oil has that distinct make you dry heave smell.

Crank shaft sensor huh? I'll look into to it thanks

It's time to sell this old thing. It runs really well now that ive added the meth and got it mostly dialed in. It's a good time to let it go. I have a 66 impala now that has captured all of my intention and finances. I really want to thank everyone who contributed and helped me along through this 9 year process lol.
