otherwise you can add a zpp powerlog and HV3 insert to that list.
or just skip the powerlog and downpipe and get sd headers like I did for the same price if not cheaper the power log and dowpipe

turbo it, or top swap. your not gonna have very much gains with that list of stuff. even a cammed n/a engine will fail to impress.

With that you'll probably be able to keep up with a stock GTP maybe, hell idk. I'd also get an Hv3, headers over the downpipe or find a plog or port a front mani if it fancys you to run with the DP.

Agreed that muffs do nothing. Your list looks like you want to take a high 15 second low 16 second car and turn it into a low to mid 15 second car. I tried doing the whole NA thing back in the day and I found that it was a lot of time, money and work to turn my NA L36 Monte into a mid 14 second car.

If I would have been wiser I would have done a top swap for around $1k or so and been a mid 14 second car right away. If you plan on installing a GT1 cam then you're not afraid of working on an engine.

Word of advice, if you don't want a serious car and you're only looking at going a little faster, skip the cam and get some rockers and move on. Otherwise, invest in forced induction of some kind.

If you honestly trying to make power and go "fast," completely forget about modding a N/a Grand Prix. You need to either top swap or put a turbo kit on it. But in the long run, a turbo is the way to go. It's the best, "Bang for your buck." You'll make much more power in the long run.

Secondly, this thread is in the wrong section.

3800's don't sound good. Another thing I would have done differently is that I would have invested in headers and an electric cutout and then left the rest of the exhaust stock. Our engines sound like leaf blowers when they're loud and they tend to annoy people or they think something is wrong with your car, especially due to the age of it.

This, with the cost you'll be in with the cam you could top swap and the car would be mucho faster than the cammed N/A wished it could be.

look for a used kit. they can be picked up pretty reasonably. doing a cam you are probably going to spend 4-500 dollars and that's half way to a used turbo kit.

id do a few appearance mods of your choice, save your money up and find a used turbo down the road. they pop up from time to time.
the good old, go big or go home deal lol last guy who did a cam and all that happy stuff that works well on a v8 was very sad when he hit the dyno.

if you go turbo, you dont really need to cam it for a dd car, it will make tons of power with just a tune and the turbo. but then theres the weak link, the tranny. they cost a few bucks to make em hold up to the power of a turbo.

Just keep looking on this Forum, ClubGP Forum, and Facebook Groups. They pop up more often than you might think. A few months ago, this forum had like 3 turbo kits up for sale cheap, all in a row.
