To start things off im currently preparing for a top swap build for my 1998 grand prix gt coupe. I bought most of my parts at the junkyard and someone actually gave me a gen 3 supercharger for free they were trying to get out of the way. The only things i currently need is a canned pcm tune since no one close tunes or dynos, and a top swap gasket kit.

Project is cancelled for now, drunk driver hit me on the way to town the other day. What do you guys think, fix it or let it go to the scrap yard? Insurance will total it and offer to let me buy it back for cheap. Body damage to rear quarter, air bags, windsheild, and rear suspension damage. i can do everything myself besides putting a new quarter on.

Dang. I would let that one go to scrap. Damage is a whole lot deeper than just a quarter. Sux but I've been through this plenty. when ins man asks if you want to keep it say yes, title stays clean that way. Then do your teardown and move on.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

This* And i still don't know what im going to do about my car. The insurance company is taking their sweet time handling my case so who knows when i will see any money. Found a sweet deal on a black 5 speed 2007 Pontiac solstice im thinking about. Might get that unless i run across another clean grand prix around here, which is not likely. They are either ragged out, ugly, or the owner wants 1000 dollars more than its worth.

Well finally got my insurance deal all settled, and then went out and bought me this. 2007 solstice 5 speed. Do i like it? yes. Will i end up selling it? probably. Its a fun car to drive but not as comfy and cheap to work on as my ole grand prix. Ima keep it until summer and if im not in love by then shell be gone and ill grab me a gtp.
