Is that because it isn't tuned to be a 2000 with the performance shift option??
01+ Gp's did not have a performance shift button, so the performance shift would not have been "turned on" in the pcm tune for your 02 Anniversary car.

Exactly what I figured. Thanks for confirming. Not that I've ever noticed the performance shift do anything. Lol

You may not have noticed it but it did quicken shifts by maybe 25% and added line pressure.

Hmm. Interesting. I'm going to be getting an over killed tune from will eventually. I want to get my aeroforce in and drop to a 3.4 and see what knock readings I get.

So a bit if an issue. In first gear under heavy acceleration I feel some vibrations below me. If I let off and get back on it the vibration is gone. It only happens coming from first gear before it's shifted.

    Any insight?

Getting some rust prevention done before winter. Rockers are mint. The piece that holds the rocker cover on is a tad rusty but nothing like my previous prixs.

It was a farm car and the dirt/gravel from the roads must have protected it from the elements in the winter. I scraped tons of gravel out of the rockers. Letting her dry and por-15 tomorrow.

Post 1/2 today. Applied 2 coats on separate days of POR-15 after I cleaned and prepped the rocker panels and clip that holds the plastic rocker on. Couple wheel well chips and the passenger quarter panel

Going to coat the rockers/undercarriage in 3m undercoating spray once this second coat sets up.
Will touch up the wheel wells with touch up paint and be good to go!

    2/2 tonight.

A pretty solid leak coming from the passenger side. It's not the rockers I checked them and they are new gaskets as of last week.

Looks like it could be either power steering (which looks a touch low but I haven't checked it before) or oil pan.

I'm praying it's not the pan.
    Thoughts guys?

Apparently they aren't allowed to ship to Alberta Canada..... Which just so happens to be where I am. I like the idea a lot. Is there a similar product?

but I am not up to date on that one.

You could use boiled linseed oil and do it the old school way.

Looks like a good product. I have been pondering something that I can use to fill the rocker.

I hate rust... These winters are horrid

Cheapest route would be linseed oil. I used linseed oil, turp, and rustoleum oil paint mixed for my underside. 1 coat and 1 winter looks like this.

Could prob use a garden sprayer load it up and go nuts

Oil leak is persistent. Its not Power steering but definitely oil...

Cant tell if its the pan or not. Going to try and swing by my friends shop and get it on a lift. PLEASE NOT THE PAN

Well its the oilpan. Ordered a solid engine mount and poly tranny mount that I'm having my mechanic toss in while he does the pan.

I don't have the patience or time to do the pan laying on my back this weekend. for $450.00 ill let him have the fun. Should have the car back tonight.

Got the car back and no more oil or motor mount leaks!
Had my mechanic toss in the solid motor mount as well as poly tranny mount while he was doing the oil pan gasket.

I think the new mount shifted how the engine sits because now im getting some good vibrations upon acceleration. Idle is fine, but getting into it I feel it under my feet and downpipe/tranny tunnel..(For lack of better term)

Flipping the sway bar should fix this I believe?? Its gotta be the problem because before the downpipe/headers were installed I wouldn't get any vibrations.

Poly trans mount is going to transfer more feel/vibration to the car. Could just be the more solid mount transfering the feel of the engine.

I put poly trans/motor mounts in previous prixs and know what that feels like. I kind of like it. idling you feel it in the pedal and wheel, but this is something different. Its under my feet and under the shifter while accelerating.
