bill and others known of this thing forever...and its been 14 years so far since two nuts with a free trofeo and steel hacked it together...well the two new powerplants and his wife killing me if Al kills himself have us looking to up the game for the next 30 years it'll take to finish it

so its off to Wally Stroupe in NC to recieve a nice chromoly junglegym in about another week and a half...

this is the last youll see of alot of that oem tin and free steel/trofeo junk we hacked together years back





one of the things is that while for the most part the front 2/3rds is a conventional chassis he's built hundreds of times, albeit with our front rails wider than a typical rwd to clear the 3800/4t80e.
he also has to build for adjustable caster/camber since we do plan on seeing how the on demand over/under-steer is...

the main thing here is that the original wrecked...twice. this car will not have that problem.
he did want me to give him a rough idea of what we need for the removable rear subframe to fit the 3800 and 4t80e. it is intended to be a complete powertrain module, PCM, wiring, cooling system, all of it.
disconnect the fuel lines, primary power, and we can lift the body up 3 feet for plenty of room to service any major components we cant get to with the removable tubs and rear firewall service hatch.

plus he has to fit 295 50 16's at all 4 corners for the street rubber...
the good thing is that the rear subframe ends up bolting to where the standard rwd 4 link bars link too.

plus theres that whole, build it once, build it right, deal...we get to refine it for the next 30 years

sweet DIY CC plates bro...the other part of this is an additional "layback" to move the strut rod centerline 6" closer together than OEM...need room for massive wrinkly black things at each end for the strip
