After the success of the Turbo Parts car, I'm going to turbo my daily driver.

2007 Grand Prix GT. It came Supercharged from factory, that's the only year they are called GT and not GTP
It is a nice car, has full options, black leather, sunroof. Unfortunately it's probably the heaviest Grand Prix ever built.
So I'm not expect low 11s with it but I'd love to turn low 12s on sticky street tires.

Here's a few pics of the progress so far. We have 2 days into the project so far, we borrowed some parts of the Parts car of course to save time.

Instead of going with an N/A manifold, decided to do a custom intake manifold as well as modify heavily the lower intake manifold for better flow.
I opened up the ports a lot as I was not a fan of the small square opening made for the M90 S/C.

For now the stock trans will have to do... I will probably figure out what I will do as for the trans goes.
Chances are it will not last forever.

Although this is my daily driver I have my Duramax truck and my stock 04 GTP as a backup. If the trans fails, no biggie, we'll change the transmission or upgrade.
Let's hope it last for a little while ! I will be running 15-16 psi of boost.

    Very cool!
I also made my own custom sheet metal upper intake plenum mated with a modded Gen v LIM for the turbo setup on my 02 GTP ,cool to see someone elses approach at it.
Just an FYI for 2006 Grand Prix there was also no GTP either, the 06/07 GT's were supercharged. GM moved the GTP name to the G6 starting in 06.

I own a fab shop. We normaly work on turbo sleds and side by sides but its all the same kind of work. We do a lot of stainless work as well as aluminum. The rims you see have been restored since used them this winter.

Ok went to the track street car test n tune little track prep
    Drag radials not full slicks

    Ran 12.005 @ 116 mph all day a real bracket car. 12.005 12.02 12.06

The limitation was tranny slip any more power i slowed down

Ran this at 15 psi 91 plus meth and splash of race fuel. On pure 91 plus meth 12.2 @ 115 13 psi

There are beta testing it and people can use the beta if they contacted support about it.

thanks, it's right on par with what I thought it would do. But I was hoping for high 11s once I crank the boost up.
Unfortunately the car has a good amount of mileage and had a small pulley for a long time. The trans had started slipping on the 1st to 2nd shift a while ago.
I was hoping by pulling the trans fuse and having full line pressure + starting in 2nd I would be able to do some decent runs before slippage.
it worked, up to 12.2 I have very little slip if any at all. At 12.0 I have a little slip. If I had power to go 11s it starts to slip bad, will shudder RPM flare and all.
Trans was tired already but it's still works very well as long as you don't try push the power past 12.0 and or 116 mph.

I have about about 15 passes tonight all 12.0-12.1 and drove around all night. What an enjoyable car, extremely quiet but still sounds nice, instant response/boost etc...
36 mpg on the highway coming back... love it. on 91 octane with meth it will run 12.2. Just put 94 plus meth and my 12.0 @ 116 tune is perfect, zero KR !
