Throwing a tune on this weekend hopefully to at least make the car decently driveable. All parts have been bought for the intercooler. Now it's just a matter of waiting for them to come in. That part probably won't be completed for a while though, due to only being able to mess with my car on weekends. Maybe spring break in a couple weeks

Well it was certainly an exciting experience tuning my car. I thought I had bricked my pcm not once, but twice. Both times I managed to recover it though. Every attempt to flash the pcm with the recovery set to "auto", my computer would shut down shortly after starting. Anyway, it does seem to run better. Although I did have a question, is it common for their to be some idle surge after a tune? The car seems to surge a bit, then balance out, then it will surge again and balance back out. After the first flash it did not do this, but after tuning out some codes and reflashing it, the codes were gone and it was surging here and there at idle. I realize that the fuel trims need time to adjust, I'm just curious if the surging is a normal thing.

I know of different issue's with other V8 computers with like rich after flash problems or weird qwerks on the first start up but not really on my a 3800 pcm.

My car after being modded and tuned by me had it all the time where the rpms would start rising and falling 300-400rpm for the first minute or two on a cold motor. I never bothered to try swapping out my IAC or TPS to maybe resolve the issue though, otherwise it never did it directly after writing a new tune.

I'll be home for spring break on Friday, so I'm going to see if it still does it. If so, I'll reflash it. I think I may have found a way to stop my computer shutdowns in the middle of flashing.

Retuned the car today. Scotty helped me out with the computer issues while flashing and it finally didn't shut down in the middle of tuning the car. I took it for a drive today as well and damn does it feel weird as hell. The throttle seems so tough and it seems to be so sluggish when I first start going. On a good note, I'm on break and am planning on getting the ic on next week as well as getting the exhaust welded up.
