Thats very possible, will have to look into that when I get HPT. REALLY want to go e85 too, that would be fun for awhile, NIC + E85 = yuss.
Thing right now is trying to find a spot for the electric cutout, I don't want it to drag everywhere, should be interesting.
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
I say, 130# springs too! Lower that idle for some lope :)
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
Ditch the cat and add the cutout.
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
Thought about that too, I just don't think there is enough room for a cutout, unless I want it to smash/scrape all the time. The electric motors are so dang tall, and then you get into the oval shaped "low profile" ones and then they're way too wide. Regardless, cat can be deleted... because Michigan :D
Before and after I got it tucked up there. New bolts on the flange and high temp RTV as well, hopefully it'll seal up good. Need to weld on some new hanger brackets eventually too, this one (looks like there were once two) has taken quite a beating.

I had always thought this stuff was BS and a gimmick. Saw it at Tractor Supply and picked it up, figured why not for $45 since it has been unbearable to ride in this car w/o the windows down. Took a bit longer than the "10 minutes or less" thing, but holy crap, coldest AC I've ever felt, hands down.

Re: The Panda- New Adventures
I was gonna pickup a can from wally world because my moms car started blowing warmish air. I was told to ignore the pressure suggested on the can and use whatever pressure your car requires. What did you use?

Re: The Panda- New Adventures
I couldn't find any specs for GP's AC pressure so I figured the can would be close enough :)
If you can find the psi for her car, I would go to that. Mine was at 20psi, ended up at 40 I think.
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
It's a LaCrosse so it should be the same for yours and mine cuz 3800. I'm a do lots of digging see if I can find something.

Why not fix the air the right way? I get the 12 oz cans for $4 each and it takes 3 iirc
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
Where do you get cans so cheap lol

you never had the joy of an r12 system. that r134a crap is soooooo much warmer than r-12. no joke i froze the ac line in an r-12 system i had to wait to let it warm up a bit. also it would pack ice on the lines r-12 is the best in the world to bad they dont make it anymore.

What is the right way?
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
Fix the leak and vacuum it dOwn then refill
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
I put my cutout below my rear passenger seat almost by the wheel. There's a 12" straight section, which I just cut out and replaced with the cutout. You can position it so it doesn't hang down any lower than the pipe originally would.
It's loud, but not obnoxious. Plus I still have my cat : )
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
Could do that, it would then be behind the resonator/glass pack. I wouldn't imagine that would be a bad thing, since it would only be opened at idle anyway. Thanks for the pictures.
Re: The Panda- New Adventures
Why would you just keep it open at idle?
