Can't argue that. If ford would have put a tremec in, instead of a Chinese GETRAG MT82, there wouldn't be a problem

I can't cast stones, the '02 came with the famous "glass" T56. It's literally been thru 13 in 13K miles. And mind you, the last one that broke was a G-Force V. Admittedly, the car makes slightly more power than stock, and does utilize a somewhat stickier tire. But still.

There is a T56 Magnum XL swap for the S197s 5.0 Costs about 5k with the trans, choice of clutch, and aluminum drive shaft, and choice of shifter. Pretty good deal but a lot of coin up front for something that should even give you a problem unless your high horsepower. 430whp is by no mean high power.

I know I am late to this, but nice man. I was a tad pissed as these stockish would run right there with my Z28, I wanted a bigger cam and some spray on it, never got around to it before I sold it.

Trust me, I know. I broke (2)G Force Vs before they got it right, and let me not mention the Ram VDS clutch and billet flywheel. And everybody loves the external hydraulics on '98-up Fbods. *Facepalm*
