Sooo I figure I might as well post a thread of my current ride!

It's a 2004 Comp-G that I bought at 64k for 6900$ last november (Cars are more expensive up here in Canudia land.) And when I bought it, I didn't plan to mod it at all, just an intake for whine and some appearance mods, but nothing engine/power wise. But as you guys know, it's hard to resist the temptation.

But oh well, the car is now at 70k!

On the pictures, this is the day after I brought it home, glazzy headlights, un-clean and all. Snow was coming, so I obviously didn't detail it.

Necessary side by side picture with both of my cars.

Then two weeks after, what I suspected would be coming very quick happens, the first big snow, and it's first winter up north.

Now enough of those boring pictures, here's this summer, what I've done overall.
Painted tail lights, 4" exhaust tips(I'll admit those are an like or hate kinda things, I like em, some if not most of you probably find em weird, but hey, got em for 20$ and welded em myself.)

Then fender hashs, Home depot lip, 235 tires, mud flaps, brand new headlights, tinted fogs, etc.

    LED Interior swap,

    What begun as a lifter tick / suspected blown head gasket(Was indeed blown between cyl 3 and 5.) led me to go from this ;

to this; (XP Cam, LS7 lifters, LS6 springs, a few new valves to replace these burnt ones and a valve job on those heads, 180 stat, overkill tune, slightly ported front manifold.)

And finally for this opening post up here, how it sits as of yesterday, when I waxed it.

Summer's coming to an end, and the last mod this year will be an SPO spoiler, ordered it last week for 165$ shipped to my door, BNIB.
And hopefully, next summer I'm dropping it to a 3.4" pulley with headers or a p-log + dp combo with a less aggressive tune. (Will's the man for that.)

    Do a PLOG/3"DP...

Will be fine with an XP and a 3.4" and a solid, dialed in, tune.

I love it. Simple and clean. Needs a little drop, darker tint, and no carbon fiber stickers/stripes

Hah, fender hashs aren't carbon, and I did an horrible job on the hood, but I'm gonna get it done in either gloss black or matte black vinyl again by one of the local shop next summer! What can I say, I love having the V shape of the hood in a different color.

I plan on dropping it next summer too, probably either some SSC springs. Think I could re-use my stock FE3 struts with new mounts and springs? They are pretty darned stiff still. And yeah, I was planning to buy the powerlog and downpipe over the headers, simply because it takes 30 mins to install both, while it took me around 4 hrs to install my last set of headers. Had the worst trouble getting that rear one down, had to remove the rear valve cover. That and those cheap SSAC headers or SD leaks and the crossover didn't line up quite well. Either ways, just my experience on them. I'll "KISS" it and stick with the P-Log / DP Combo + 3.4", and it should net me a fun little DD.

God, no updates on this thread whatsoever, shall fix this with the last pictures of the pre-snow season.

    What has been done recently ;
Rust proofed at Protec-to, Put on some Vent visors, Put on my spare set of comp-g wheels with my snow tires, swapped the carpet floor mats for those rubber winter ones.

    And here's some pictures,

Here we can see my SPO Spoiler at least! Hah.

And I'm still eying to maybe get a P-log on the Black friday if I can nab one for a good price, still need to drop to a 3.4 next spring Should compliment my XP cam good.

Felt like bumping this thread up to give some update on my lil DD build.

Got around installing my Powerlog and 3" catless DP on this spring and finally pressed on a mps hub and got a 3.5" pulley on last week, lowered the idle rpm to 700 in park and neutral, kept it at 800 in drive (Thanks to Will @ Overkill)
Welded on a set of Thrush turbo mufflers and already had a glasspack in place of the resonator.

I may or may not lower it on SSC springs around the summer time, will depend on what I wish to spend money. Gotta do brakes all over too, they're still the stock ones and they're nasty.

She looks great! If you have rough roads around you and really enjoy the ride comfort I would suggest Vogtlands instead. A 1 inch drop but near stock ride comfort.

Rough road man, there are potholes everywhere, it's like driving offroad except it's main roads. The FE3 suspension is quite stiff already, my 235-55 tires helps with the holes by being softer/larger, but yeah.

    But thanks man!

Finally did something about those tips haha.

Pretty much all I had time to do since I've been at work more than at home.

Next logical step is to drop it. Rundown of parts needed, anyone? I'm probably going to re-use my stock FE3, they're at around 70k miles.

Updated photos dated of today. Really need to lower that **** up.

Also going to be asking for some advices there, I have some rust on a quarter lip, Canadian winters are quite rough on old cars. I was thinking about sanding down to metal (Again.), using somekind of rust converter upfront, applying some body filler, sanding, priming, sanding, painting, clearing, wet sanding, buffing. Then greasing behind the quarter with a ****load of anti-rust wax/oil. Any other tips to go about that? I'd rather not go about the pro way and get it done, I don't want to empty my wallet on a new paint.

More importantly, anyone has any tips to match that galaxy silver slightly more than what I did before last winter? It's hard as **** to match compared to my old red gp.

    And a year after...

Revised my intake - Fixed a few exhaust leak at DP to Rear manif. 2-3 revs up in my tune, remove the vinyl wrap, sub in the trunk, yadda etc..

Decided to lower it last weekend. (And change the god awful light output tinted-to-hide-haze fogs with brand new ones.

97-03 SSC Springs on FE3 struts w/ Anti-pogo washers (Junkyard subframe washer that I cleaned and painted.) with front and rear STB's (Both junkyard finds, cleaned and painted again 5$), replaced all four end links with grease-able HD ones, DIY motor/trans spacers, 1/4 bottom, 1/4 up, cutted in a 2" X 1/4 flatbar, painted with thick coats of corrostop paint, 6 pieces total.

I think I did it right?

Photos took next to my friend's 06 GT, shows nicely the difference in height.

Noticed most of my original photos are now on dead parts of the internet, darn, time flies by.

Figured I should check in this thread

Haven't got any recent engine bay shots, but eh, it's not running on a 3.2" (GenV), Catless SD headers, #50 injectors, 4" MAF, with the ol' XP cam still in there.
And at last, I now have my own HPTuner suite. (Whom I keep in the car with a Windows tablet for on-the-fly tuning.)

That feel when you buy a phone that can take good photos without requiring any lightroom/photoshop balancing.
Close to storing it for winter. Caution hugeass photos.

I did get rid of my tinted reverse bar, found one from a mint 06 in the junkyard, polished it and it ended up looking brand new, looks better than tinted or yellow!

Seeing as this forum is still alive, (Which is a good thing), I may revive this as I may either continue the build next summer as the car is currently parked for the northern winter, or may not, since my winter beater is a way better car than this could be, even stock.

Car sits still with the XP Cam, 3.2 pulley, 16* timing, #52.5 injectors, 4" MAF, 94 octane tune, poly everything suspension, 33mm solid front swaybar, yadi dada.

Though this thing may end up taking more room than expected.

It's mainly going to be a daily commuter, as I got it since we moved office from 15 min of road to 45 mins. It is more economic than my GTP is and than my previous winter beater and more comfortable.
Wanted a luxocruiser to go work but I didn't want to go 4 banger just yet.

They've got around 300 horses from the factory, but I'm still going to play with it a bit on the top-end.
Planing to get an APR tune, intake and such. They say it's around 400 with that, faster than an S6 of the same year for a minimal cost, around 1500$.

I've already got rid of the rear mufflers, kept the x-pipe in and the 4 resonators, sounds better than any 3.8 I've had or heard. (Exhaust is factory true dual & equal length)
    Audi A6 2011 - 3.0T 3rd muffler delete - YouTube

For the rest, it's an S-Line, so the suspension is about as stiff as my GTP with FE3 & SSC springs, sway bars are probably bigger and the suspension has a better design overall, so from the factory, it handles on-par or better than my GTP with all the mods I've got so that's going to stay there. (Only downside, about 250kg more weight than W's)
Brakes? Jesus, 13.6" up front and 13" in the back, no need to upgrade either.

Just going to get some wheels with a bit more poke, get the windows tinted and call it a day.
