Im the guy that helped him put this together / tuned it for him (hptuners is my love child anymore)...

Remember when I sat there and toyed with the broken gas cap lanyard for a min or two? I probably cursed it. Also fyi I actually posted a small thread at one point about moving the idler and the zzp single belt setup to get more belt wrap. It looks like it should slip like hell but when I had the exact same setup (Litterally exact... I sold mine to him) on my genV my boost was climbing all the way to redline even on a 3.4.... Easily was making 12psi on stock heads with rockers only.

Been a LONG time since I updated this.... So heres and update!

Aquired some ER rockers from a friend and put them in backwards (on purpose). Figured they didn't need the higher lift on intake because the SC will be jaming it in and it could use the extra exhaust flow? seems to work good.

My trans was slam shifting all over the place and 1-2 shifts where SUPER lazy and it took forever for it to downshift from 30ish so I put a ace hardware shift kit in and I'm loving it again. Fixed all my issues and it shifts beautifully now!! Its awesome haha.

Also snagged most of an intercooler kit for dirt cheap. Already have the 2.25" plate, pump and rails; heat exchanger and wiring and some other bits arriving monday, and I went and bought all my other hoses and fittings etc so it gets an IC very soon... even tho Im on stock manifolds which I know is wrong.. Headers or PLOG/DP very soon as well...

I just needed something to mod and I couldn't resist... while I'm waiting to go put a new(to me) 3800 in my Camaro... Build thread on that soon... Ish.

Also the Camaros engine also came with a free 4t65e-HD... So... diff swap or building that out of the car for fun... So many projects..

Grrr.. So on my way to work yesterday the car wouldn't break 60 mph... on my way home i couldn't break 30. that was awkward on the interstate.

Turned out cat was clogged, cut a hole in my DP to get to work today. Probably going to run ghetto fix like this http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2334&ppt=C0022

until my pacesetter headers arrive :-)

Well I plan on welding together most of the slip joints anyways.. What problems do most people have?

Well I fixed my clogged cat issue. I just bought a little stick welder earlier this week so I got a crash course in welding from the internet and had some pretty good results, and nothing leaks! car feels MUCH faster, even faster than before it started to bog down. So that was nice.

EDIT: No I did not weld in those sandals. Was letting them cool and snapped some pics. I wore actual shoes and all the safety stuff when I was welding.

Enjoy some of my noob welding pics.

Started pacesetter header install tonight. All the stock manifold and down pipe is out. Lost motivation to drop the subframe so I'll finish it tmrw. Going good so far.

I've welded in sandels before, hell I usually just wear a t-shirt and jeans haha. I have a few holes in a couple shirts and burn marks but whatever.

Flux core welding is meh, but it works pretty good for alot of stuff. Just looks like ****, gotta wire wheel the welds to make them cleaner and spray them with some high heat paint to protect the weld from rust.

It's actually stick welding haha. Little 80 amp dc inverter welder. Works wonders.

Headers are in! Install went pretty smooth other than one subframe bolt snapping in half... and the other one the washer/nut snapped loose. So I couldn't drop the subframe which made it a little bit of a PITA. But they're in and don't leak at all :-) Some pics up later today.

how are those pacesetters treating you? reason i ask- i ordered some obx headers for the top swap i'm doing and might have ordered pacesetters if i had seen your post before i clicked order....

i knew i didn't want speed daddys for the low hanging pipe. i could see that banging on a rock or something dumb and breaking things.....
