Re: zzp L36 sc kit after install
Yeah not trying to rain on your parade by any means, as someone who just finished a topswap I know how awesome it is! I think the general consensus is just make sure you research, because zzp can rake you over the coals sometimes for new parts, and because our 3800s are so reliable, used parts aren't a terrible thing.
Re: zzp L36 sc kit after install
And a good next step, at least what I think I will be doing with my topswapped car is headers, to kill some KR and drop a pulley size or two, if you haven't got headers already.

Better hurry and buy it cause I'm going to keep it soon enough lols.
Wifes gettin preggers soon, then I'll never be able to get a real racekar lol so I'll just make a screamin grocery geter.
Re: zzp L36 sc kit after install
A G8 would also make a good "screamin grocery getter"
Re: zzp L36 sc kit after install
You. Got. Hosed...
Just because you MIGHT have a metric **** ton of money to blow don't mean you must pay 2-3 times what something is worth..
Re: zzp L36 sc kit after install
Re: zzp L36 sc kit after install
OP, what you should have said is something like this:
I went with the kit because I wanted something more unique than the standard top swap.
Which is true as this kit uses L36 heads.

I am truly glade some of you are able to spend almost nothing on parts to the point there basically free good for you . I priced the parts for a top swap and just a gtp Remaned engine straight out this was the best option for me and I am sure others . I feel it was a good value and the cars running great . this thread wasn't so posse to be lets see who can get the cheapest parts if that the case. You guys should just start I thread I can get a better deal then you, had have fun it . I still don't see why you all wanted to talk about the price I never mentioned how much I paid . I have found when people go this route they are just trying to make themselves better about perhaps a bad decision they maid in the past . I am not looking sor advice on how much I spent or will spend . If you want leave a constructive comment like I would do this next like a ic or something of that sort but yeah I get some of you are just to smart and cool for me . take care. keep those grand prix clean p.s. I only shop at junk yards when I cant find what need else where it is always my last stop
Yeah a lot of cool people on here but many can be haters. I posted a video of my dyno tune and got ripped for my "low numbers' and "should have been higher" etc... Your right on people trying to feel better about themselves by bashing others. If your happy with your purchase and proud of your install that's all that really counts. Seems like a ton of the GP people are going the super cheap used part route and drive rusted dented cars etc. You will find a wide variety of people here some are very helpful and knowledgeable with a ton of experience and others who like to brag and bash others just like any other forum out on the net. Do you notice a nice improvement in performance with your blower? You may want to consider an intake and if your into bling painting your valve covers, blower etc.
Re: zzp L36 sc kit after install
Basically, with this kit you pay a lot of money to not have to touch the heads, which may be valuable to some.

I wouldn`t necessarily call them haters they are just small thinking young adults or kids, or just aholes who have personality flaws. _Which I don't mind.__The more funny thing to me was they have no idea what I paid.__It seems like, to me, that's all they care about and that's cool too if that's what they're into. Not counting multiple sentence structure errors, you can call me Daniel, Grammar Nazi, w/e I give no cares. I have pretty well bit my tongue on the whole thing, but when reading this I saw "but I retired at 35 so you do the math who's smarted." and was like :th_doh:. So I felt the need to correct who is smartered. Me. Now, I assume since its not posted "via tapatalk" and autocorrect fixes most of these, it wasn't on the phone and you just started getting more irritated the more you typed, as it just got worse from there. So calm yo **** and chillax brotato.
Frankly I'm not budgeting your build so I don't care, I enjoy seeing the few people who spent a couple grand on a Paxton Novi1000 CFC and you could get more power with a turbo for the same price. So it all really boils down to what you want and how you want to do it. If you are happy, that's what's important. It's true, you could have arrived at the same power, with the same overall quality for alot less and for the same money made much more power with a cam, used top swap, and intercooler and been set... but it is what it is.
Just my 2 pennies, have a coke, a smile, and stop feeding the trolls.
What's next for the build?
