UThis a new thread to show my progress on my new two door coupe. It's a 1998 gt with a 1999 gtp engine inside.

It's lowered on Kyb agx i believe. Got it for 500 bucks with a blown engine. Swapped my engine from my previous 99 gtp after finding a significant amount of rust on the shock towers.

Thinking of a black and purple theme or maybe black and orange. Black and orange would match the shrouds on the retrofits.

Here's the colors I'm looking at.

    First we have this orange

    Then we have this purple

    Or this purple

Just ideas I'm throwing out there. I also want vinyl on my hood. Maybe a color to match the rims? I don't really know yet just ideas I've been throwing around. First is maintenance.

Current issues is the ac compressor which I believe isn't getting power because it worked beforehand and my temp light is on so I'm thinking it's telling the PCM not to turn the ac on. Also the abs light is on and the cruise control doesn't work. Small issues at best but I'll get it worked out soon. Thanks for looking

No hood vinyl, wide "Grand Sport" stripes if you have to do anything in vinyl, otherwise it would likely be too loud.

I kinda like the 1st purple, with matching calipers would be different.

Orange on 1 side, Purple on the other. Nobody will tell unless they walk around the car

I love me some black and orange. But, I gotta admit the first purple looks sick!

    All opinions are welcome.

My previous rims will be painted to save money and I just got a some new calipers from an impala so i have to remove the pregens because the calipers stick out to far. Should I upgrade the brake lines as well?

The first purple for sure. The orange is way too loud IMO.

Last but not least we have this color

It's a color shift paint. Different angles different colors.

I mean that's what the previous owner said lol. Correct me if I'm wrong because I have no idea what they are. I used to be opposed to the low idea and now I actually like it:-)

Yes, will cost ya a hundo, but worth it from what I've read. Will fix the squishiness of the pedal and make it more firm with the braided stainless steel lines, but if you do it, upgrade front and rear, don't half ass it.

Purple on black just isn't enough contrast to me. Id actually go orange "if" u really need to paint them.
