GPS vent mount showed up. Not baddd, supposed to be like 60* tomorrow seems like a good enough day to try to get the sensor in.

Figured I'd not ghetto rig this wideband install. Soldered connections with heat shrink and wire loom.
Also I did this a little differently, I used the narrowband output on the PLX and wired it into the stock 02 harness. Basically it's running the wideband in the Upstream 02 location. Went on a drive and everything seems to be ok. Fuel trims are fine NB readings jump around. Did a few pulls saw anywhere from 11.3 - 12.0 AFR seemed like it was leaning out the more I was in it? It's hard to watch that and knock at the same time. So I'm going to pick up some small gauge wire and get it wired up to DHP or into the EGR plug for easy logging.

Some pics of the pigtail I had to make. Bought a $7 02 extension. It was the wrong plug but I depinned it and swapped the plugs from an old 02 sensor. Had to solder the heater ground to the signal ground. Didn't use the heater power wire. Left the signal wire bare to solder the wire from the plx.

Plus the whole gauge itself is pretty slick

Got the wideband wired into DHP today

That's a lot of wiring! Looks good though. Nice work man. Anything electrical intimidates me, as it does many others I'm sure. So cheers to that. That wideband is pretty sweet.
What did you end up doing about the water leak on the inside? Did you patch-up those tar patches?
I have a theory that water actually drips onto the floor from the top of the door. If you were to draw a line down the middle of the door... that's about where I'm thinking water is coming in through, through the seal somehow.
Haven't touched it the those patches yet. I need to tho. I don't think it's a door seal we ran a ton of water over the car and it never came in.
Electrical stuff isn't too bad just take your time. I think the whole install took me a couple hours lol

when I cruise around taking a scan, I only momentarily glance at the wideband sensor. I don't bother with anything else. I think watching the road is a lot more important, especially when doing a full 1-2-3 gear pull. your afr isn't too bad, if I remember right, you are running E85? with gasoline, you will lose power if your afr is too rich, but with ethanol you can run richer without the power loss. I've been told to keep it close to 11.5 for whatever fuel I run, including the E40 blend I'm doing now.
So I sorta acquired my moms old car...

So lots of new happened. I moved back to ohio and lost the "slowkar" plate but got something sorta similar. Car is rusting along decently. Current issues are at the top of 2nd it's hitting 13.5 AFR and it's burning oil after idling for a bit. Like bad valve seals. So I have a friend going to sell me a 255 to hopefully fix the AFR issue then car is going to Smuts house and getting new valve seals and 1" rad.
Tho pic below, shortly after moving back to ohio I discovered a brake noise. Turns out I was out of inner brake pad lol.

Just noticed you updated this. Was wondering what happened. Thought you maybe sold the car. You're an old timer on this forum, but so many people on here post so enthusiastically over and over again for some time and then....nothing. Done. Poof. Disappeared (the user bustaphoto comes to mind, the kid from Miami, so many others tho...). Anyway. Glad your alive! lol. Keep us updated.
Sooooo
I bought a truck.....https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...6e&oe=5AC2DED8
Besides blue, what is it. RWD?
But clean looking for sure and plenty of room for a retrofit.
2012 F150
RWD
5.Bro
Already looked into some china knock offs of the factory projector lights to retro EVO projectors bolt right in on them
Are the stock Ford perma seal?
After projectors I wouldn't be able to see with reflectors.
My 55 watt ballasts kick some ass.
I'm not sure, I think they are perma.
Have you seen this thread on HIDplanet comparing the Morimoto D2S4.0 & Lightwerz G5-R?
https://www.hidplanet.com/forums/for...hot-comparison
Always a trip seeing the new stuff pictures.
My D2S 3.0s are still rockin. I put some Osram CBIs in my other car from the black friday sale. Only to find out they now make a higher lumen count CBI for $80 more
I bought great bulbs and didn't spend an extra $80 for an extra 200? lumens.
The XB bulbs are still an excellent choice which I use in the GP
Truth be told the stock 4300K BMW German made bulbs were pretty friggin good.
No more gravel road for you? How do you cope.
Are you Smuts neighbor now?
It's perty.
But it's a Ford.
you keep the gp? or trade it off? i just got a tahoe, kept the regal, its now sporty feeling lol
