Hey Booba, IDK if you're still interested in putting in polys for the stock lateral links but the stock bushing size for the Rear Rearward bar is 16 mm I.D. and the Rear Forward bar is 12 mm I.D.

Awesome. Thanks man!
Picked up the heads today. Put about 400 miles on the car round trip, and I'm pretty sure my torque converter is lazy and won't let go when it's told. When I'm gradually going uphill down to 50 MPH I'd get a really bad KR spike, which starts right when the torque converter % drops to 0. Overall the car drove great, other than that spike. Pics of the heads and whatnot tomorrow.
Changed the oil, filled her up for $25, put 6 oz. of MMO in gas, and 26 oz. in with the oil, and checked all the suspension today. I found a bad passenger side axle so that's getting replaced next weekend, and the rear passenger spring was off the isolator so I had to get fancy with some screw drivers to get it back in position.
Oh and drained 3-4 gallons of water that somehow made it into my trunk. I'll probably end up stuffing some caulk saver into my trunk seal to make sure it poof's up again and seals right.
Head gaskets got here today from Rockauto, LIMs just shipped today from ebay...both were ordered Wednesday. Still have to order the ARP head bolts, new locks, and get a sacrificial head (to chop up). Here's some pics of the heads. I'll get some better ones after I clean them up some. Guy that gave them to me used to run meth, so they are actually pretty clean, lol:
I also need to find an LQ4 MAF. Any benefit to the 5 wire over 3 wire (other than the IAT being included)?
Must have been warmish. My money is on spoiler bolts for the trunk leak. Avoid Trunk Lake by cutting flaps in the two oblong drain plugs. You might want to check and lubricate the jack and tools also. They are mounted in styrofoam so they float, just leave out the hold-down, lol.
I drive around with 1 plug missing because of trunk lake years ago, good thing trunk had no carpet in it at the time
Yeah if you just halfway insert a plug that works too. I haven't messed with my spoiler, but I think if a guy created a good seal... like with a bead of RTV gasket maker, at the front and sides of the spoiler, that would probably be the most effective solution since it would keep water away from the bolt holes.
You could always put the boy to work in the trunk with a flashlight with all the trim loose or out, while you run water over it to locate the leak source. Chances are you'll end up doing the switcheroo to actually find it but ya never know. Yes I know about kids and trunks but he may enjoy the weird adventure, y'know? Just familiarize him with the glow handle since you boom boxed the front of the trunk. Trunk leaks were kinda fun time back in my Buick dealer shop days, because Buick trunks are fairly comfortable.
These coming few weeks are gonna be pretty fun. Everything for the TB (minus the TB) comes in this week. I picked up the S pipe, 2 couplers, the LQ4 MAF, and a 7 inch K&N for $108.
The TB is also getting very close to being done, tentative plan is to do this whole install nest weekend. Here's some recent pics of that (I have many):
Why not this weekend you ask? Well, we've been working a lot of Saturday's at work lately, and if you take Friday off as scheduled vacation, you get Saturday off. Needless to say, I have a 3 day weekend and this just showed up...
Freakin' semi just dropped it off. Nothing like blocking 10 parking spots in front of the High School 10 minutes before school starts, hahahahaha.
heeellllllllllllllllllllllllll ya!
Good news and bad news on slide, they messed up the parts. I have 2 sides of the slide that you enter (from the swing set), instead of one of each side. They need to be a mirror image of each other, so this is a deal breaker. I called Home Depot and told them I need it by this weekend and got the whole "Oh we'll put the highest priority on this, we'll make sure to have it out to this week, I'll make sure it ships out today" speech. 3 hours later I call back and get the "That lady had no idea what she was talking about, it'll be 10-14 days minimum. I know your situation sucks, but we have your money so there is nothing we will do at all. Want to take a survey" speech.
Livid, I called the manufacturer of the slide and explained the whole situation, and she assured me that the piece i need will be sent to me next day shipping either today or tomorrow (if she couldn't get it in for today's shipping time). Here' hoping the manufacturer is actually going to stand by their word, I HATE Home Depot.
I can just picture you going all gangsta on 'em over that lol. Shoulda just handed the phone to the boy and let them explain it to him!
I stopped liking home depot when they fired all the cashiers and replaced them with machines. When in a bind and I HAVE to go there I find the "machine supervisor" and make them scan all my ****. Most of the time they stare at me and point to the self serve machine and I give them the "***** this **** aint going to scan itself" look.
I like menards and love their rebates.
I had never even heard of Menard til I moved to MO, lol. Lowes and Home Depot is basically what we have. This is erks me since I used to work in a call center and run focus groups on Customer Service.
Boy that slide is going to be a "shocking" experience.
Jeff
Customer service ftw! Put it together inside!
