*also, is there any company that makes somewhat of a subframeconnector for W-bodies?
I wasn't sure if I was doing it right when I put my car together, now that it's been together... I LOVE IT. Ask anyone on here who has driven it.
Derek, Dave, Scott, Erich, Max, Chris, Billy...... everyone seems to like it as well.
All this awesome talk leads you to wonder what I did, right?
Fresh GR2's all around with Vogtland springs and monroe mounts, antipogo's all the way around
GMPP bars front and rear with poly bushings, poly front endlinks and Moog rear endlinks
F Body front calipers with R1 Concepts drilled slotted elines and some scorched pads from them as well. Next time..I'll go maybe slotted only.
SS braided goodridge brake lines all the way around
HS Motorsports aka westshorefabricators.com lateral, trailing and toe links in the rear. Tubular with greaseable poly.
GM strut tower braces front and back
Fresh control arms in the front (I think they were dorman from Rockauto
18" Lucerne rims (kinda heavy) with 245/55/18 potenza REAS960PP's on them.
At this point I have 58K miles on the setup (tires get swapped for winter) and it still rides awesome. The rotors have no real rust at all on them, can't seem to warp or beat them up. Struts perform good still and with the drop, you'd never know it in the car. Rides nice, firm and takes corners like a champ.
Your car is looking really good compared to day one. Just curious if your going to fix that dent? To each his own but personally I don't understand why people spend so much money on suspension, wheels, brakes and motor before the body??? I have a buddy who will put 10 grand into his motor before painting a rusting body panel.... His car is fast as hell but doesn't go to the track.... I just don't get it lol Sounds like Bill is the guy to talk to about suspension.
then i'm a lot like your friend.
id rather have a running happy car then a pretty broken one that doesn't move.
well maybe one day when i finally meet you, you'll have to take me for a ride in this infamous regal.
Erik (99prixgt) was telling that i should try out vogtlands next.
i love my eibachs. one of the best mods i've done to the car but i hate that i cant have anyone in my backseat that weighs over 100lbs.
i'm thinking vogtlands with excelG's all around.
supposedly theyre just an all around better strut then gr2's-so says KYB.
so i'll try them out and see what happens.
nothings permanent so we shall see what i come up with in the future

Me three.. I don't do body work, because I've never tried. I do mechanical work and that gets me A to B all the time.
No, I'm probably not the guy. I asked around a little and did the most common stuff. Then added a few more pieces.
do you know of by anychance a company that sells subframe connectors, or something like them, for us?
I never mentioned a good looking car that doesn't run... Personally I'd rather get an older car looking sweet with a good running nearly stock motor first then add HP but that's me. My GTP didn't have a scratch or dent before adding tint, wheels, brakes, sound system, HID lights etc.... just built the motor this winter. Damn that was expensive!!! I see people putting 20's on a old POS and it just makes me laughGood luck with your suspension work I'm sure you keep us posted.
thanks man
and i always do lol
Hit the shore this weekend for the GF's prom.
took some nice to relax, took a few pictures while i was there of my other lovely lady
The Crib
played around with plastiderp before i left. what do you guys think?
& if youre wondering where's the Bullits?
they're home because right now i'm surprised the tires are holding air right now lol
so i played it safe, knowing all the driving i'd be doing.
Looks great. The rims are tastefully done.
Hey, what happened to your bullits?![]()
all about that dip brotha. good job. i will be peeling mine off soon and doing something similar with the lip like i wanted to do the first time!
House was in Tuckerton (perfectly placed between LBI and AC)
we hit LBI everymorning/afternoon for beach action
then went to Wildwood, Oceancity, and Atlantic city
hmmmm no you got me thinkin'...
for reference.
Wax & plastiderp aren't friends.
i waxed over the fenderstipes, now they're sort of whiteish
^^^yeah im saying black stripes, black wheels, front bumper and now the grilles would just complete that look!!!!!!
My understanding is the subframe is about 20lbs difference. I put it on because I knew i'd have the original one off when changing the oil pan.
