Several others have non-GP Ride Threads, so you should be good as long as it keeps on topic and doesn't turn into one of those random thought threads.

Love that body style truck, Beast Mode is sooooo nice on them. You should look into a nice "little" turbo kit for one, the 5.3Ls take very well to 7-8lbs of boost with a few bolt-ons.

thats a pretty clean looking truck, what is it, a 04 or 05?

the extended cab is nice to have as well.

the only reason i sold my truck was gas mileage, i was getting a solid 10 mpg. not much better on the highway. but i also had a 6.0 and it was a 2500 HD 4x4. w/ 4.10 gears and slightly over sized tires. 33's are only a a few inches taller then stock height.

    Nice looking truck. If I ever bought a truck it'd be a z71 silverado/Sierra.

Im really looking into the tahoe's/yukons as a replacement for the GP. I miss having an SUV, and with my size the tahoe's seem like they were built just for me.

UPPP!!! i will never lower a truck, no offence but you should lose your right to own a truck if you lower it.

    So its got the 4.8?

Looks like a nice bumped up work truck, exactly what I want, but 2wd.

I agree if it is a 4wd truck but if its 2wd you might as well drop it because its not much use anyway. At least thats how I look at it with snow and mud.

yeah its the 4.8 v8. and you can do what ever to a 2wd truck like you said burgundybullet there is not much use for them at all. i had my truck for 2 days and i had it stuck in some mud bakc in the woods and if i wouldnt have had 4wd i would have had to call my brother to get his ol v6 chevy to pull me out... which i would never do lol

^ This. I was going to say the same.

4x4 should always be lifted with A/T tires.
2wd is useless off road, so stock for work truck, LOW for sport truck.

I'd lower a 4wd if I had one and the funds to do so. I see no reason not to. I had a lifted truck and didn't like it as much as I did when it was stock ride height.

4wd truck = off road toy, 2wd truck = grocery getter, work truck, or slam it.
I saw some dude driving around in a 04ish Silverado with a huge ass lift kit on it the damn thing was only 2wd. Wtf is the point in lifting a 2wd truck?
