Hey guys/girls I have been on this forum for a little while now mostly doing reading and learning. But now the time has come for me to build up my car a little bit. So As of right now the car is stock 5 speed with a little cam/exhaust/intake. It was like that when I bought it, the only thing I have done so far is headers and hollow cat.

Stock L67 block partially put back together.

Stock heads (would be built if members on here would stop sending me the wrong stuff!!)

Some parts from INTENSE-RACING (Way more to come!)

I'm planning to have this build done by August 17 and I'm hoping to be running 15 psi on e85. I have been talking a lot to the guys over at INTENSE and ZZP and they have been guiding me on parts (mostly valve train) and with their guidance and parts and with a good tune they both agree I could make mid to high 400hp to the wheels! I hope this comes to be true but if not oh well it will still be fun to drive

Anyways, what size are you looking at running?

What are you doing for piping?

    Can you make it yourself?

My suggestion, take your exhaust manifolds and flip them to the opposite side, then have vbands welded to the outlets.

Lol I don't know what the guy was thinking with those handle things...

Also for turbo size I was looking at either a .68 or .70 from precision. If I couldn't get my hands on one of those then I was going to go with a holset hx35.

For piping I have a buddy that works at an exhaust shop that could fab me up some bends and weld them in for me.

And I planned on using to stock (mild steel?) manifolds, the ones with the egr bung, and then using the gp cross-over pipe and weld a T-4 flange on it. Kind of how Force Fed Fabrications makes theirs, except with a manifold style instead of custom headers style.

IF that for some reason doesn't work out I have pacesetter ceramic headers on there right now that I could probably do something with. And if not, Rear mount has crossed my mind so I would just have to figure out return piping and oil lines since I already have the oil pump for a remote mount.

    Don't get a hx35...too small for a 3800 imo. Get an hx40.

    An hx35 is a T3 I believe. But a 40 is a T4.

Thanks for suggesting the hx40! But do you think it would be too big for my 3.8 liters to spool? I see guys with 6.0s spooling them decently but would I be able to spool it low enough in the rpm range to even be worth while?

Im running an hx52 on mine which is double the size of a 35....trust me, a 3800 can spool a large turbo pretty quick.

What cam are you going to run?

Holy hell! Well in that case I'll be scouting for a HX40! And I was planning on getting an intense stage 2 turbo cam.
