Had a chance to re spray my spoiler n hopefully 3rd times a charm. There's some orange peel so I guess it'll match the factory paint job :p
Also went ahead n extendo De roof rails
Here's some pics for now, just started clear on the rails.

Do the spoiler with the hood.
My hood was only $200 to get it done.

bad news on the hood, it has a bunch of spider cracks in it. I went to get a quote yesterday n they said 400 to repair n 250 to paint. Now when I got it from classy, I had his buddy paint it black real quick just to have it black rather than white for now. So I'm hoping it's just the paint cracking. My buddy I grew up with, his dad is a body n paint guy, so I'm going there Friday to see what he has to say about it. No way I'm spending another 700 or so to get the hood refinished n stuff, it's not worth it to me. I'd rather just have a cheap spray on it n rock it for now. So hopefully his dad can lemme know what he thinks is best, mid hate to spend 300 bucks for it to just crack in a year or so. N it's definitely coming off for winters from now on too, to help prolong its life lol.

Haha yeah, it's not as quite reflective as the car. So hopefully i can get it there. It looks better than before. Last time I did it, I ran out of the automotive touch up clear.

Damn that sucks about the hood man... i bet it's just the paint cracking though.. I doubt it's the fiberglass.. what if you did the prep work yourself? It's not that hard to do.. then get it painted

Yeah ill be taking it off soon n start prepping it. I'll go Friday to see what my buddy's dad has to say. If it's gonna be a pain or recommending fixing, I'm just spraying it myself. Although I'll probably buy a pint or 2 from automotivetouchup.com n get my dad's spray gun n go to town.

Exactly. Try some 2500 grit and see how that looks. I like to follow up with 3000 grit. Then compound and polish it out. Should look much better.

Okay sounds good, I may have some. Idk if it's that high of grit, but I can always swing by harbor freight. I'm not putting my roof rails on yet so I can wetsanded those too. Thanks for the advice.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC, GXP Seats & Coilovers Installed!
I wetsanded my brothers roof rails with 2000 then followed with 3000 by hand since they are smaller pieces. I used meguiar's M105 on a microfiber applicator. I then followed up with M205 on a foam applicator to remove any hazing left by M105. Be sure to wait 30-60 days before waxing to let the paint outgas and cure. I just poilished out my brothers car this weekend and repolished and waxed the rails and the clear coat on the rails look like factory clear.
I waited 3 days before I wetsanded and cmompounded his rails.
On a larger piece like the spoiler I would do it by machine.

Re: Red 2006 Grand Prix GT Supercharged - FSIC, GXP Seats & Coilovers Installed!
Yeah I'll wait a day or two, I have meguiars ultimate compound n polish so that's what I'll be using, n definitely use the da for the spoiler haha. No wax for a while here. I need to do the whole car at once. Probably clay bar too.
