A full point in compression is worth it if you can make the same power on a 3.8" as you can on a 3.4" with a low comp. motor.

ill back this one up. my bottom swap with the stock pulley felt every bit as strong as the l67 did with the 3.4 on it.

My tuned top swapped L36 with stock pulley held strong with a 3.4 IC'ed car...so I guess this logic must work. LOL

Very interesting.... I wonder where that logic puts my current motor. L26 / s3 heads/ 2.8 pulley / s3 cam vs if I did these mods in my 200k + l67

i think the only difference is in how much timing the l67 can take vs how the hi comp blocks that dont like it.

So don't push the timing to max EVEN IF I don't see kr? Just keep it around 17-18 and just add boost with smaller pulleys ?

Negative. High comp will just knock sooner when compared to low comp. but you won't need to run as high of timing to make the same amount of power.

I haven't had a lot of time to mess with it before I put it away. Motor only has 1500 on it. I kept the stock timing table for the most part and just skewed the cruising area of the timing table. So far I don't see any kr

I was saying on my car it's not worth it because I already have a low compression bottom end on both of my cars

    It's always worth it.

    That's the point your missing.

The point in the statement and the point of compression.

Especially since the M90 is spun way past its efficiency range.

You'd probably pick up power running an L36 and a 2.8"
