RIGHT..the wheels aren't half bad when they are shined, now if we could only keep the chrome from going bye-bye
Looks good. Wat did u use?
Never dull from AutoZone
Awesome work Dan. Keep it up. So you're going to part out the 98?
It's not a wheel speed sensor problem. I have no abs light on. I'm thinking it's the switch since it's been getting water dripped on it for god knows how long
Yeah the 98 will be going bye bye.
Talked to a few guys today about my car and they seem to think it's a spun bearing even though it gets a lot quieter when the motor gets warm. I'm going to finish building the L67 in my garage and when it gets warmer out drop it in. So hopefully by mayish I'll have an intercooled s1x cammed with stage 3 heads comp g.
Nice! I can't wait to see pics. I came really close to buying a black comp g for 3000 just before the new year and it had the same issues as yours. The guy said he would hold it for me to come take for a second ride but when I got there he had it on the back of a tow truck. Apparently some other people took it for a test drive and the motor let go... btw does your 98 have the clear corners on it?
It does. I'm liking the car and I'm going to continue driving it as long as the motor noise doesn't get any worse.
Abs sensor is a wheel speed sensor. I have no lights on indicating a problem but the traction control doesn't shut off for some reason. I guess I could jump the switch and see if I can make it turn off that way.
the trac light is controlled by the wheel speed sensor, aka abs sensor in the hub. its still notices wheel slip. whether its spinning like a burn out, or losses grip with the road braking.
Awesome work Dan.
Car is really taking a turn and looks quite good.
Can't wait to see more progress and go fast parts installed.
Wow can't beat free heads. Looking forward to the build since its similar to what I'm doing and the same car lol.
