Could someone help me find the thread for the vacuum lines, I was told just put a plate over that one spot on the gen v.
I also got the fiero trunk open before work today http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5ragksfl.jpg
Can't wait for them to be done:))
Just fyi someone in the wtb section is looking for a damaged sd lip
btw nice progress that engine is lookin great, keep it up
What are you trying to block on the Gen V?
The EVAP port on the back, you can block with an Intake EGR block off plate.
You can look in my ride thread of how I did it (I just did a Gen V swap a few days ago) and how I made my PCV functional. I can post the pictures here, but I'm not trying clog up your ride thread with my crap. Lol
Blocked EVAP port with Intake EGR Block Off Plate:

Drill out the Brass plug on the bottom of the L67 Throttle body (PCV function):

Find the nipple on the back of the Gen V right by the EVAP port you blocked. It's a 3/8 in size. Now try and get a 3/8 fitting and put into the hole you drilled out on the TB. Connect a vacuum line from the Gen V to Throttle Body. You can tap that hole to the size fitting, or as I did, used a left over vacuum T, put copper rtv on one end, capped the T end, and JB welded it in place. It was a 5/16 fitting so I had to use two different size vacuum lines:

OK sweet, now for the Evap could I just plug in the sensor and cap off the vacuum line off the sensor? And I can get a copper fitting to screw into the bottom of the tb and make it work correct?
If your not going to pull of the sensor, why don't you just make it functional at that point so you don't throw any codes.
And yes, you should get a copper fitting and tap the hole. Thats the correct way to do it. My way is ghetto.
The PCV port on the Gen V is 3/8th. So try and find a fitting that can screw into the size hole you tapped with a 3/8th outlet to it. So you can use the same size vacuum line, unlike me.
Can anyone tell me if I can drop in the motor without the factory brackets, if so what can I hook the chain to lift it?
