Ok so I got a little more work done today, not much but got the back header off last head off, and took the transmission off the motor. Now my question is how do I get the pulleys off? Can't I make something to take them off or something haven't looked to much at it trying to relax now before work in early morning

    Thanks TexasTanker19kilo20 for making this^^

This should be a pretty kickass setup when it's done, I'm looking forward to it. Don't forget head bolts and rocker bolts.

Since you have a LIM off the engine already, did you know about opening up the coolant holes at the TB end of the LIM?
Takes a little bit of time and a Dremel\Grinder, here's what mine looked like after I was done:
Retros, LEDs, SD Hood GMPP, Votland, Addco
06+ Impala brakes, L76 Springs, ERs, Self-Tuned, 3.5 Gen V L32, Ported TB, 240a CS144, SSAC, Upgraded Transmission, Android Head Unit, Remote stuff, GXP Seats

I actually have the re useable rocker bolts but not heads can I re-use mine? And its going to be fun to build and drive.
But I haven't seen the lim opened up like that, I have seen when they block the holes though

When you block the holes you restrict the coolant flow from the front head to the back head a bit. Opening those holes up compensates for that. I'd get new head bolts, I'm sure the stock ones are TTY. Even if they aren't, that's a big risk in my book.

Ok so what are advantage and disadvantages of porting them is it worth the time?

You don't need to do it for the Gen V, it's just something to do to the LIM to make it flow (coolant) better. The Gen V doesn't matter in this case. If you plug the holes that run coolant through the TB (on the top of the LIM), then I would consider this mod a MUST.
Here's the holes I'm talking about plugging, I used some dimes ( I can elaborate on this more if you want), but most people tap the holes and put plugs in them. I had no taps and no plugs, but I had a dremel, some dimes, and some RTV.

Well not the gen v but I have to.match up the square on my 98 lim didn't take the lim from the 06' but ok so what is what I see the two holes that go the tb you blocked with the dimes what hole did you.port and open up on your first picture?

The LIM in the first pic is upside down. The hole from the first picture is directly under the EGR tube you see in the bottom of the second pic. There's an end cap that covers them up, I believe the LIM gasket set comes with a new gasket, or you can make one yourself.
